'Excellent place. We arrived around 12 and our room was not ready yet, because check in is at 2 or 3. We took some coffee and snacks in the garden and when we’re done the room was ready. The city is tiny, so it only takes 5 minutes to get to the center. Copan ruins within walking distance too (15-20min). You can enjoy a glass of wine or beer on the terrace in the evening. Breakfast was very good as well, as other reviews were saying. There is a massage service too, but we didn’t have time...

'We had a good stay at hotel Villamil. Rooms were nice and clean, good a/c. Location was great. Very close to the town square. The coffee and typical breakfast were good. Breakfast staff was very friendly. Our only recommendation would be to expand breakfast hours, 7.30 to 9am....on a weekend when you want to sleep in is too early. We also didn't like that you have to decide the day before what you want for breakfast (4 options) and at what time.'

'Our stay here was phenomenal! Check-in was quick and easy, and our room was spotless with great AC, hot water, a TV for Netflix/YouTube, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the town. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to Parque Central, restaurants, cafés, and shops. Copán Ruins and Macaw Mountain are about a 20–25 minute walk or a US$2 tuk-tuk ride away. The owner was incredibly kind and always available. After our visit to Luna Jaguar Hot Springs, she even brought us extra towels...

'This was a wonderful stay, we want to return just to stay here again! Most places look better in photos than in person, I’m happy to report this BB is super clean, so pretty, organized and the service was personal and superior to any service you will encounter at any chain hotel. 'The hacienda was spectacular, reminiscing of something out of a movie. They have plenty of beds for a large group such as ours. There are plenty of bathrooms so you don't need to rush as someone may be waiting to use it. Our hostess, Dani, speaks perfect English and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were handled. 'Redelijk sfeerloos geheel. Personeel was aardig, maar slecht getraind/begeleid: nog bezig met het eten van de voorgerechten en de hoofdgerechten worden al op tafel gezet. Met name toetjes niet echt smakelijk en thee smaakt naar koffie. Muziek in eetzaal behoorlijk op de zenuwen werkend. Kamers en andere ruimtes schoon en een goed werkend internet. Kleine 5 minuten rijden naar de Maya ruïnes en een 20-tal naar de grens met Guatemala; uitstekende weg. Het huren van een gids heeft bij het bezoek...
