'As we checked in , we were not greeted with a friendly welcoming desk attendant. Asked about a mandatory $50 hold the hotel puts on your account for incidentals, and she had a terrible attitude with her response. The grounds of the hotel were unkept and not maintained. Our King/non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke. It was very unpleasant. The entire hotel and room were old. The air conditioning in our room did not work adequately. We had to put it on 65 just to somewhat cool the room...

'This property was nicely updated, very clean and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. The ONLY thing I wanted to note, and it's not a complaint, but an observation, is that they only have double beds. I know some motels still have double beds, but for the sake of comfort, a queen size bed is the only way to go. Even in rooms with two beds, as ours was. My husband slept in one, and me in the other simply because I didn't want to spend the night fighting over room and covers! But...

I have family and friends in town that would put me up for the night, no problem, but I enjoy staying here every time I am in town. Convenient and a great location. 'We went to the spread Eagle Tavern and Inn for an overnight stay for a special birthday trip. We had never been there before but had found the information on the Internet very unique and interesting. Upon arriving at the property, we were greeted with a very friendly desk attendant, that checked us in and showed us to our room, which was the Madison room. The room and bathroom were very clean. 'All the accommodations were perfect. Comfortable, it really felt like home. There were 8 of us including 2 small children and a baby and we actuallyhad room to move around. We loved the kitchen and dining area, we felt relaxed. This is a special place, you have to experience. The Host was awesome, they had welcome snacks, and was very responsive. We are already planning another trip.'

We loved walking over to the brewery and the free beer cards included were a fun bonus. The outdoor fenced-in patio was perfect for relaxing, the cookies upon arrival were delicious!
