'The room smelled terrible (stale smoke) and, other than crisp white bedding, felt dirty. Room furniture was old and quite banged up. No ice machine. Ice was provided in a pre-packaged gallon bag and came out in one big chunk with tons of defrost.'

'The facility itself was dirty, and so was the room. The staff was helpful when checking in, but they also seemed kind of lost. Took almost 15 minutes to get checked in. The lock on the door was janky. I definitely didn't feel safe. There were quite a few shady characters hanging around the lobby. I was traveling alone, so the whole situation felt sketchy. Everything felt so off that I decided to forfeit my reservation, and I traveled an hour to stay at a different hotel. I would NOT recommend...

'The helpful staff were very good help to us.'

'The property was adequate for a short stay. Parking was easy, and our room was clean and quiet. At the same time, hallways were dirty and the building exterior unattractive. The surrounding area is convenient to the interstate and has a couple of truck stops but few restaurants.'

'Such a quaint town and hotel! Very Clean! Nice sized rooms. So much Aviation history! Breakfast was wonderful! Then watching the Small planes taxi down the street, to come in for breakfast was incredible! We are planning our next trip across Kansas to include a stay here!!'

'Stay away!! It’s under new ownership. The hotel is scary run down and awful. I prepaid a month before my stay I flew in and they said they had no record of me paying or my reservation. I showed them all the proof and they said nope! You have to pay again. I ran, stay away!'

'The site said it had an indoor pool. It had one but it was closed anyway for the season. The rooms had squeaky beds, rusty door handles, and the main door had to be slammed to close. We found long dark hair in the bed sheets, like they weren’t changed. The hot breakfast consisted of a waffle maker only and hard boiled eggs that looked like they were cooked and left there all week. The cold choices were cereal and white bread toast. I would l'

'Very basic room for just staying an overnight or if you're not going to be spending much time in the room. Room was clean the bed was very big and comfortable, we did buy our own towels because not many provided. Staff was very nice, wasn't rowdy overnight and we basically got room for a fishing tournament so we can keep an eye on our stuff. It had a refrigerator and a microwave, although the refrigerator did have mold and we did not use it. It's on the main strip easy to get off and on...

'Awesome property'

'Overall the home was great. It was very clean and suited our needs perfectly. Everyone LOVED the shower. However, the communication with the host was terrible. I had sent a couple of messages leading up to our stay about checking in with no response for 24 hours. We drove over 10 hours to this location so timing and responsiveness was important. I had also inquired about extending our stay and never received a response. This property is a duplex so I was able to book the other unit as it was...

'These folks treat you RIGHT!!! Pleasant Clean, located well with choices to dine! Whenever we travel to Newton, well well stay here. No doubt!! '

'Augusta is such a charming town. We arrived late into town. Our hostess contacted us through the app and text to make sure we were receiving her messages. She was doing everything she could to give us a smooth check in. The home was beautiful. All the check in directions were spot on. The bed was so comfortable. She provided all the things we needed for a relaxing stay. I would 100% stay here again!'
