'Despite an excellent location just next to the entrance to the cathedral, this hotel is another of those run-down, bleak firetraps from way back in the last century. You know it's old as soon as you climb the narrow stairs to the tiny reception area and notice the grimy carpet and chipped woodwork. Getting to your room involves climbing meandering stairs that go one way, up another short flight of stairs, and then still in another direction. (There is no lift.) 'This is definitely a hotel where you will find peace and tranquility. The balcony experience was amazing. The location is excellent, in a very quiet area. Perhaps the only drawback is the lack of a refrigerator in the room, but the fact that it's a pub could be a reasonable justification.'
