'Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house worked very well for our family group of 15 & the location was very convenient to Crosslake. However we arrived after the first snowfall & the driveway & steps were not cleared. You have to climb the steps to access the house & they were slippery. We could not find a shovel & the access to the room above the garage was not obvious when nothing was cleared. Also, the garbage service had not picked up the garbage from the previous week. 'Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lakeside cottage! We appreciated the modern updates and conveniences as well as the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. We loved having our pups join us, too. Although it was chilly while we were there, the numerous and sizable windows facing the lake still made us feel connected to the nature and wildlife around us. 'The front right gas burner dial is off and there was a slight gas leak. Luckily we caught it and adjusted the dial so the gas was off. The off position on the dial doesn't turn off the gas. '

'Didn’t use amenities!! The only strange thing was there wasn’t a House Rules book stating how to navigate the house! There wasn’t any firewood for the wood burning fireplace which would have been nice for Christmas Eve, if we needed to get our own, it would’ve been good to know that?! There were not any exit rules as to bedding, garbage, etc!!!!!!! Otherwise no complaints!'

'This was an amazing, beautiful space! It was so welcoming and warm and provided entertainment for adults and kids alike. The fireplace and hot tub critical as we were in -20 degree weather. The house was furnished with absolutely everything we needed. Evan was promptly responsive to the couple questions we had and and VERY gracious in allowing us to stay warm in the house after check-out when the truck battery died (thanks again Evan!) Amazing space. Amazing hosts. We intend to be back!'

'This place is rustic, but has potential. No communication from host as to how to get in. I tried emailing the host via VRBO, calling, and texting. After texting I got the code to get in and the wifi. You have to have your own water to drink and cook with. It is well water without a filter for getting useable water. The well water has a potent smell and taste of iron. There aren't any curtains in the back of the house and the roll up curtains in one of the bedrooms aren't great. The furniture is...
