'We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. Each room is 3 old cells knocked into 1, with the bathroom taking up 1/3 or of the room. The bathroom was really good and enormous. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. 'I loved the peace and quiet! The location is in a beautiful area, far from any noise or light pollution. The walks and runs are stunning with great way-marks. The laundry onsite was particularly helpful. The accommodation was very well equipped with clear instructions. It was warm, bright, spacious and felt very safe (as a lone traveler). The bed was comfortable. The water is delicious as it is local (not full of chlorine)! I wish I'd brought a bottle to take some home.'

'Slechte bedden, veel te klein en door gelegen. In de spa werden geen handdoeken gebruikt in de sauna, de hamman stinkt naar zweet. Veel achterstallig onderhoud en slechte herstellingen aan de tegels, douches…etc uitgeleefd. Kinderen mochten niet in het bubbelbad, kinderen mochten maar beperkt in het zwembad op bepaalde tijden. Werk personeel wandelde met vieze schoenen zonder bescherming door het zwembad. Bij het ontbijt ontbraken broodjes. Een beetje vergane glorie. En de tafel bij het onthaal...

'A warm welcome from Jenny. Excellent breakfasts. A characterful property of considerable age with slightly quirky elements: who would expect statues of a Buddha and komodo dragon in a former abbey? Our en suite room room was spacious and clean. The large bed looked a little antique, but was very comfortable. Many would join us in liking like that mix of character and comfort.'

'The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included.'

Jamaica Inn is sometimes crowded and busy probably because all sorts of people visit it, but the real pub fealing is always present.
