Wonderfull Achterland. Landscape at the Gothensee "On the sunny edge of the forest, we linger and enjoy the view over the Usedom Switzerland." Seenplatte is called the area. And in fact, as in the Pomeranian ridge, between the heights, are the "Seven Lakes": on the left the Gothensee, on the right the elongated Schmollensee, in front of us the two Krebsseen, considerably smaller than the other two. The Schloonsee is harmoniously embedded between the two Krebsseen and Ostssee. In the haze of summer day we see behind the Schmollensee still waters: the backwaters. Fascinating are the surging, not too exuberant standing grain fields. Sitting in the heights, close to Gothensee, located in one of the scenic, diverse and largely untouched areas of the island of Usedom, the village of Benz. About a beautiful old avenue of trees, it is closely linked to the seaside resort Bansin. The beach is about three and shopping about two kilometers away. The area offers ideal recreational conditions for dogs and their owners, hikers, cyclists, skaters and anglers.
