'A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou.'

'This was one of the best Inn's I've stayed at. The staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect, clean, bright and exactly as in the photos. The common areas were so inviting, there was outdoor garden spaces, indoor spaces with comfy seating for curling up with a book. The breakfast was amazing with many choices. I would highly recommend and I'm already try to plan another trip there.'

'The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars.'

'The Fig Tree Hotel was set near to popular coastal amenities and the old Shanklin village with its thanked cottage charm. A conveniently central position for beach and countryside, betwixt Carisbrooke Castle and Osbourne House. My room and facilities were of a good standard and breakfast, which was hearty, set the day off well. Thank you Staff at Fig Tree. PW'

'Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think'

'There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning.'

'This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed in 100s. Staff could went above and beyond, the place is stunning, the rooms are spectacular and the breakfast was excellent. I wish I could stay every weekend.'

'The hotel was great the air conditioning could not cool the room off enough for our liking during the heat dome we experienced. The breakfast was very nice the restaurant was imho over priced for what you got and the younger staff could have smiled and been a little friendlier.'

'No door key as all digital, had to use phone which is ok but only gives access to 1 person. Shower temperature was luke warm at it's hottest, shower gel dispenser didn't work. Also the air-conditioning didn't work, had to use the fan instead. Room was noisy due to the adjacent pub.'
