Welcome to the “Beauty and the Beach” at Birch Bay, WA
This is a three bedroom 2 bath home located directly across from the beach. When you enter the property you will enter into what is known as a great room. A nice open area with the living room which includes a large. Please note that there is no cable tv but you do have WI-FI and have many channels via the internet/Roku and there is a DVD player with movies or you can bring your own. You will also find a nice dinning area to host your family and friends. The kitchen is also in the great room and is well stocked to prepare a light snack or larger meal. Large fridge, oven, stove and microwave along with a dishwasher. Next you will find one of the bedrooms which has a Queen size bed. The main bathroom and the laundry room with full size washer and dryers are located down the hall along with a second bedroom with another Queen bed. The master bedroom has a king size bed and walk in closet along with a private bath to include large garden tub and shower. Enough about this beauty with a spectacular view, lets talk about the Beach! The front has a nice size deck for you to sit out and enjoy the view. There is a basic propane BBQ for your use while at the property Across the street you will find beach access to your own private beach. Please know we can not cut beach grass but there is a path small and it takes you to the beach where you will find an area where you can make a beach fire to roast hot dogs or make Smores. Enjoy clam digging, crabbing, beach combing and much more. Experience some the best sunsets you will ever see, or so we are told. You are located about 15 minutes from the Canadian Border and about 3 hours from Seattle spending on traffic. Ride your bike to the restaurants, waterslides and other activities in the area. Don't have a bike, no worries you can rent one from a local shop. Enjoy home made candy from the C-shop and other events and activities. There is no wifi at this property but you will be so busy you wont need it. If you need garbage pick up while here just call our office and we will be happy to haul it off for you. This is a great property for a family or small group. You will not be disappointed.

The house was perfectly located across the street from the beach with beautiful views. Because of the storms lately though, it wasn’t a very clean beach space to enjoy a fire. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The furniture is really dated though.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the large size of the accommodation and the beds were also comfortable. My son took one for the team ans slept on the pull out couch. Also enjoyed the deck in the late evening.A couple of things to note. There are very basic kitchen amenities, and no salt, pepper, or other condiments and spices. A basic add that visitors appreciate. Also, for this who visit on summertime. With the exception of a few fans and opening every single window, there is no other way to cool down as gets unbearably hot inside. The other issue is in summer, Birch Bay itself gets a VERY strong sulfur odor when the tide is low due to lack of rain decaying organic matter. This is seasonal, so be aware when staying in July-Sept. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The view was lovely. The unit was clean and well equipped for the most part but considering with taxes, pet fee, exchange I paid 700 Cad a night I wouldn't recommend it. The beach was full of gross seaweed and algae and super muddy...not sandy. You really couldn't swim. Also the grill was so old and rusty we couldnt use it. Overall a disappointment about Birch Bay more than the unit itself.

Great location by the beach

We liked our K bed and the master shower. Overall everything was comfortable, in good shape, and had what we needed, except for a few things. Parking and getting in and out of the property is a little tricky, and there are stairs up to the front door, so it's not handicap accessible particularly.

Lots of potential

The house is older, as is the furniture. Unfortunately, the queen bed was very uncomfortable as another reviewer had previously noted, but I let the owners know and they said they would make sure to switch it out. Our group was staying 2 nights and we felt like this was a reason for why it maybe wasnt stocked very well. However, when I contacted the host, they did bring several items very quickly to try and make our stay better, and we appreciated the effort.

Just what it says on the tin

Lovely short stay at Birch Bay. Property was surprisingly spacious and the kitchen was well equipped for a small family reunion. Location was windswept (it was early March, so unsurprising!). Beds were very comfy. House warmed up quickly when the furnace was put on, although we had to turn it off overnight as we found it a little noisy, but that was our personal preference. Overall, would definitely stay again. Great property.

Every October, us 6-8 ladies, have a girls weekend together. We try different areas and this year was in Birch Bay. We enjoyed a church bazaar and Oysterfest in Blaine. The house was very comfortable and had a net view of the bay. We enjoyed a beach camp

Beautiful setting

The location is lovely. The house was very comfortable for our family get together. The only downside was the furnace is really noisy and goes on and off all through the night. This was a big problem as the master bedroom is right next to the room with the furnace and it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. You would just get to sleep and suddenly the furnace came on very loudly. It stayed on for about 10-15 mins and then you’d just go to sleep again and it would start up snd wake us up. This was really a shame because we didn’t have a good sleep during our 3 night stay.

Beautiful house
