'Outstanding. Stunning harbour views. Laid-back feel with friendly staff. Love the fact they don't mind you using the dining room for a takeaway and you can check in well before the usual 3-4pm, allowing you to make more of the arrival day. A bit of maintenance required (window catches, shower) but such a good place to stay it somehow doesn't matter...'

'The rooms were freezing and when we informed the manager we were told that the heating was broken. It was about 3 degrees outside that night and they didn’t even attempt to give us an electric heater or anything.'

'On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us. 'Door de aardige eigenaren voelden we ons meteen welkom. Lekker uitgebreid Engels ontbijt naar keuze. Prima ligging vlakbij trein en busstation, winkels en de zee (alles binnen 5 minuten lopen). Ruime en nette familiekamer. Andere gasten hadden een hond bij zich. Hoewel wij niet zo van honden houden hebben wij er totaal geen last van gehad. Op verzoek kun je er ook 's avonds eten voor een schappelijke prijs. Natuurlijk is het wat eenvoudiger dan in een restaurant en heb je beperkte keus, maar...

'The hotel was excellent - a modern hotel with excellent furnishings. Housekeeping went out of their way to help. The serving staff were personable and helpful but the service at meal times was slow because there was not enough staff. Down side was the poor control of parking (cost £15 per night) and I witnessed one customer very irate because his car was blocked in. If the hotel charges to park a car, they are duty bound to control the parking - cars were parked outside of marked bays and...

'Awful.. Small boat visitors accommodation! This Awful place is like a hotel for immigrants, though they probably lost their licence due to it infringing their human welfare rights! They have squeezed as many rooms as possible in the space, with corridors like a rat run that you can barely walk through! Rooms are small smelly and hot, the toilets are in barely enough space to fit an average bum on? (no good for Americans) There is not enough water pressure for the shower to work.. And a shelf...

'Newly built hotel with modern very clean design. Rooms with sea view have a spectacular view. Great location on bus route around Torbay. Breakfast and dinner of good standard. Staff are very efficient, attentive and pleasant. One thing to note is the £15 per day car parking fee.'

'We were met by our first names and instantly offered a cup of tea and cake! This personal,friendly theme ran throughout our short stay and made it a really lovely experience. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with everything you could want and shiny clean. Breakfast was well organised with a time slot so we could again benefit from the personal touch from our super hosts. Excellent, freshly cooked large portions😀. Would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family.'
