'Great value hotel in a lovely location with views over Newcastle harbour. Very modern vibe with great tech features in the room. Breakfast at the Monte cafe was excellent. Would recommend for a short stay in Newcastle. Only negative for us was the beds were too soft and air con quite loud, so had to turn off to sleep. Otherwise excellent. '

'Really solid experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need, especially for a longer stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around. Overall, great value and a comfortable stay and can snag free street parking on the weekends.'

'The Crystalbrook in Newcastle was a pleasant stay for a weekend. The rooftop bar was great, though very busy and they weren't wrong - you need to book for dinner! The room was great, everything is fairly new so it was clean and not worn out. Location is walkable to lots of local attractions, Darby St and the waterfront are all walkable if you're able to. '

'Not impressed. Wine glasses had wine stains from previous guests upon arrival. Glitch in system meant we didn’t get the room service we ordered because staff already went home for the night. Parking for valet was not clear at all. No pool or spa facility.'

'Room has been set up nicely for our family and kids enjoy the spa and swimming pool there. Staff are very friendly and provided good services and information to us. '

'We didnt realise till after booking that this apartment had no reception desk.i wouldn't recommend booking last minute after traveling and tired. You need to email or ring to get codes to get in. Its bit of fort knocks. Codes to get into foyer-to use lift-the paid car parking-so its not an easy entry. The drunks and homeless people yelling and swearing all night below is not cool if your a light sleeper. Room was adequate though,had everything we needed. Internet is super slow..if it even...

'The standard of the house keeping was poor, the floors/carpet were not cleaned properly, towel were the smallest I have ever seen in a in anything other than a 3 star hotel, our bedding was not changed during the 4 night stay. Despite booking a bed and breakfast package and a booking confirmation that said "free breakfast" and being given a 2 for one coffee voucher valid for the 4 days, when I went to check our they tried to charge me for anything other than one coffee or tea at breakfast and...

'Very friendly and helpful staff. Contacted about getting an extra towel and it arrived within minutes. Great location easy to get around the city. They are upgrading their rooms ours was not updated yet, downfall was the bathroom. Shower was in the bath and very small, mould in the shower curtain and grout all coming away. But that should all be fixed with updating. Felt a bit expensive for an outdated room. '
