Rural Property & Water System Notice

As part of the peaceful rural experience at For Rest Inns, both stays operate on a private well water and septic system common throughout the Finger Lakes region. At times, guests may notice a mineral odor in the water, especially with hot water. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals in well water and/or the hot water tank’s anode rod interaction.

Please know the water is completely safe for everyday use including showering, washing dishes, and cooking. We simply believe in being transparent so guests know what to expect when staying in a rural countryside setting.
