'Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!'

'This on a very steep hill next to a restaurant. The little village is very cute and you feel part of the community. It is fun to walk around the paths between the homes and explore. Everything is on a hill so be prepared to walk an incline coming or going. As for the home, the grounds are beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking. 'On the positive side Villa Paola has a wonderful view of Lake Como and is very private. Unfortunately, there are too many things wrong with the house and the local management company to recommend it. 'My husband, son and daughter-in-law stayed in this delightful apartment in mid-May. We loved Varenna and the location of the apartment, so close to shops/cafes and sights.
