B&B in Balkangebergte

"Wederom dikke prima. Als ik een min puntje moet geven dan is het de tv. Blijft op elke kamer die we ooit hadden,slechte ontvangst. Maar dat weegt niet op tegen alle pluspunten. Zeker een aanrader "

"Bon rapport qualité/prix. L'hôtel n'est pas en plein centre ville mais à proximité immédiate de tram, métro et gare... il est donc aisé et rapide de rejoindre le centre. Le personnel était sympathique et efficace. La chambre propre et fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner compris était un plus. Simple mais suffisamment varié (et aux horaires appréciables : ouverture assez tôt si des excursions sont prévues dans la journée, et assez tard pour des jours où on veut rester plus longtemps au lit). "

"Very good location, close to shops ,restaurants etc. Close to the metro also. Very friendly people working there. Breakfast is also good. We had a very big room with a balcony. Had some problems with the electricity and it was fixed directly. For sure we would go back again and could recommend this hotel!"

"Uitstekende ligging vlak bij de kathedraal. Ontbijt en bediening (vooral Slavka) super. Ontbijten op de 9de verdieping met open ramen en zicht op de kathedraal, heerlijk! Mooie wellness- en fitnessruimte Minpunt er lagen verschillende keren stofvlokken onder de zetels, onder het badkamermeubel. Een keer geen kleine handdoeken gekregen wegens geen voorraad. Het onderlaken op het bed had drie kleine gaten, op zich niet erg, maar niet echt 5-sterren waardig."

"An average experience. But needs to improve on attractivenes, satisfaction and the sheer experience. For guests. It is not welcoming. A special point on the breakfast room restaurant. Needs a refresh literally. In the morning the smell, warmth, the sticky fatty "damp" room took he appetite away. Again American [non surprising] [eggs and beans out of boxes] breakfast, i.e. horrible taste. Please skip this out-of-boxes unhealthy smelly junk for the obese and teethless. It ruins the room and experience of a real break-feast. The local food is ten times much better, healthier, rewarding. Less is more! "

"The hotel is located relative far and isolated from airport and one needs a shuttle or expensive taxi (there are no Bolts or Uebers in Bulgaria) to reach the Airport: so don't see this as a time saving option, but could be at very early departures, when there is no Metro/subway running. Walking from hotel to Airport [with suitcases] is not the (10 or 12 minutes) option! The metro or taxi from the city center or vincinity is (more) convenient. Another point of attention. We arrived at 21.30 and the restaurant/cantine? was closing, no longer serving (heated up?) meals, instead we were offered; a cold, soft, sticky to teeth white bread junkfood sandwich from an expensive vendingmachine. The bar was a minimum on atmosphere. The breakfast typical american, enough, but soft and tasteless. Many pilots, some business people,..as such, a minimum on human interaction. Don't recommend it for young adventorous and with kids. The night staff is not the source of help you expect in emergencies. The manager comes only in at 11.00 AM. The wide open environment between the industrial like buildings despite is quite large andopen, with bushes and trees, .AND .there are beautifull large herds with cows and (wild?) horses. A pleasure to see (nature), in a depressingly created (stamped out americanized franchised business world) and ACCEPTED by non inspiring guests. "
