Room to Gather. Room to Unwind. A covered breezeway splits Groovy Grove in two: the main house on one side, a quiet all-bedroom wing on the other, so two families or three generations share a stay without sharing every room.




A Beach House in the Trees. Groovy Grove sits in a grove of old live oaks, and the house was built around them rather than through them. Inside, the great room runs two stories up, bright white shiplap with a wall of windows so the green is always in the room. The bedrooms are quieter and warmer, lined in honey pine. Airy where everyone gathers, cozy where everyone sleeps. A beach house that happens to live in the forest.

The Great Room. The floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchors the room, and the oversized sectional gives everyone a place to pile in for movie night, games or a lazy afternoon out of the sun.




The Loft Everyone Will Want. Overlooking the great room, the loft has two double beds, a twin, a sofa, coffee table and large TV beneath its white shiplap gables, plus a half bath right at the foot of the stairs. Part sleeping room, part second living area, and the spot the cousins claim before the bags are unpacked.




A Layout Made for Families. The main wing includes the great room, well-equipped kitchen, a bright sunroom with a long farmhouse table, the loft and a downstairs king suite with a soaking tub overlooking the trees.




Across the breezeway are three additional bedrooms, two queens and a rear bedroom with a double and twin, along with two separate full bathrooms. The rear room connects through one of the queen bedrooms, making it convenient for parents with younger children. It also has its own deck entrance, so nobody has to pass through to come and go. Another opens onto a private screened porch of its own.




Easy Living. Groovy Grove is made for long days and slow evenings: coffee on the porch, cards after dinner, everyone drifting in from the beach. Drop your bags, put your feet up, and you are on vacation in about four minutes.




Quietly Tucked Away. Close to Everything. Groovy Grove feels wonderfully removed from the busy world, yet its central location keeps the Maritime Market, marina, ferry landing and island beaches within an easy golf cart ride.




Come Find Your Groove. Past guests have called Groovy Grove "the most tranquil home on the island" and their stay "pure perfection." Come for the beaches and adventures. You may leave talking most about the breezeway, the porches and those evenings beneath the trees. Groovy Grove is dog friendly so everybody in your family is welcome!

*At "Groovy Grove" there is access to Bald Head Island Club Temporary Membership. You must join as a temporary member for a fee.

*Please keep in mind the BHI CLUB is now capping registration for their guest memberships. If you wish to attend the club during your stay please apply ASAP. Please visit the BHI Club website to review which days guests may attend and which activities they can use. We do not control club rates, rules, or restrictions. No discount or refund will be provided if club membership is restricted or denied.

You have access to Golf with the membership if you pay additional fees, please contact BHI Club directly for more detailed information

*This is a DOG FRIENDLY HOME: A non-refundable Pet fee of $300 will be added to your rental if you choose to bring your dog. And for 2 Dogs the Pet Fee is $450 - Please note: Dogs are not allowed on any furniture, sofa or beds, damages and extra cleaning apply for these rules are not followed.

-Groovy Grove is a comfortable, well-loved home valued for its privacy, setting and location rather than for new construction or luxury finishes, and it is priced accordingly. Refunds are not issued based on expectations of higher-end features or finishes.

*Maximum Occupancy: 12 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.
