We had a lovely long weekend at the Corner Cottage. It is a large cottage situated right at the heart of the village, within walking distance of a number of pubs and restaurants. Bakewell is just a short drive away and it is easy to explore the Peak District from this location. This was our second visit and we would highly recommend.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful little village. A very good location for exploring the Peak District. The cottage is well equipped with pretty much everything you might need for a stay. There are two great pubs and a village store within a 5-10 minute walk. Bakewell is also nearby.

We had the most amazing stay at the Corner Cottage. It was simply beautiful and charming. It is designed to be a home away from home. Each room was decorated tastefully and very comfortable. The host was terrific and responded quickly to all of our questions. Location is a short walk away from the Bulls Head and the Ashford Arms. Minutes away from Bakewell and perfect for exploring the trails. A terrific cottage for a small group of friends for a long weekend.

A spacious comfortable clean well appointed cottage in an excellent location with reserved parking spaces by the door. We enjoyed our previous stay at this cottage many years ago and have once again had a most enjoyable experience. Mark, the host was helpful to deal with. For those anxious about internet connectivity, we can report that the wi-fi worked well! We did not have time to try the televisions! The well stocked local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the excellent Ashford Arms which offers a great dining experience. We were two couples on this occasion but the cottage would be ideal for a family. Ashford is a good base for exploring the local area with Bakewell a few minutes drive away.

Perfect location

Lovely little cottage in the heart of a picturesque village close to Bakewell. The owner was really helpful and informative and left us a nice welcome gift too.. Enough parking for three cars which was useful as the village got very busy during the day. Would definitely stay again next time I visit the area.

Wonderful cottage

We have just returned home after a wonderful stay at corner cottage. It is the perfect place to stay, spotlessly clean the photos don’t do it justice, it’s much bigger than we thought it would be, and central to Buxton . Nice little touches for our welcome. Would not hesitate to return on our next trip to Derbyshire Thankyou Mark

Absolute gem

We had a wonderful stay at corner cottage and would definitely return! The cottage is lovely and cosy, full of everything you need, and has a wonderful picturesque location with two fantastic pubs and a village shop. Speaking with the owner ahead of our arrival, he provided us with a wealth of info about the cottage, as well as the local area and places to visit. It was our first visit to the Peak District but certainly won’t be the last! Thanks for a wonderful weekend stay.

Our host was great and quick to get things sorted out when we had an issue with the boiler. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. Perfect location for what we had planned with everything we needed in walking distance.
