Waterfront Home In Baileys Harbor ~ Fantastic Views Of The Harbor And Islands!

Vacationing by the lake is the consummate Door County experience. The waves will lull you to sleep and the ever-changing mood of the lake will become your favorite memory. Kite and sail surfers practice in our bay because of the calm conditions. All types of pleasure and fishing boats arrive and ore ships hug the shore as they pass.

The clean lines of the Empire style interior are accented by our collection of one-of-a-kind antiques from around the world. Each area has an access to the outside by way of a porch or balcony. Each room is cleverly designed to have a lake view.

The queen bedrooms are off the porch and deck on the main floor and upstairs in the whirlpool area. The standard bedrooms are off the garage and upstairs in the Carousel area. 3 bathrooms are attached to bedrooms; one in the upstairs Carousel area is not. A bunk bedroom for children has on full and four single beds.

You are ten minutes away from thick and lively shopping traffic on the bay side. Our lake side is known as the quiet nature sanctuary of unique wild plants and animals. The beauty and calm has drawn the most talented actors and artists to this area since the early 1900's. We have been sharing this house for the last twenty-two years.

Children are delighted to play in the sand at the shallow water's edge, walk to Anclaim Beach Park, ride the wild carousel rabbit, play the unique folk toys, or other games and antique bicycles. The collection of five hundred DVDs can be viewed as the family prepares for bed. Ask for directions to The Farm where even older children like to purchase food for the hungry baby barnyard animals.

Large house, great for accommodating a big group of people. The house was well stocked and also conveniently located next to a small grocery next door. Harbor view was beautiful and perfect for watching the sunrise. Would definitely recommend.

The location of the house was perfect. Walkable to the downtown area and also close to cities and activities - we had fun. And, having Lake Michigan in the backyard was great! We weren't aware that 2 of the bedrooms were built off the garage and had to walk through the garage to get to them. Also, one of the those bedrooms didn't have any window treatments which is difficult for privacy. We enjoyed the outdoor space and a bonfire.

This is the most unique and interesting vacation rental I've ever seen! A truly fully stocked kitchen, expansive DVD collection, and lots of space for relaxing and socializing. We took advantage of the spacious lakefront yard and fire pit. The decor was a hit amongst our party! And the location is ideal for walking to shops, restaurants, and the nearby beach and park.

Property was located for easy access and allowed walking to Beaches and tourist visiting areas. The backyard provided a safe and fun place for grandkids to play and family to gather. Our whole family and dog were here for a 4 day vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Michigan. On the clear nights, the stars were bright. The layout and size of the property is great for a large group like our family. The large dining room table was perfect for meals and gathering for games. The kids enjoyed running in the backyard and being within walking distance of the beach. The host was quick to respond and answer our questions. The location worked for taking advantage of the many activities throughout Door County.

The house is large with 4 bathrooms, 2 queen BR over garage, 1 queen downstairs, 1 king and lots of bunk beds and 1 queen upstairs. Really nice porch overseeing the lake. Deck out back and long grassy area that is short fenced in all the way around except for 2 openings next to the house that we blocked off for the dog and child. Unfortunately, no entrance to the lake at all. Aclan? beach 3 houses south, really nice. Bp next door is handy. Needs some upkeep here and there but all in all very nice place. Super nice couple that owns it. They do their own cleaning, so we tried to pick up after ourselves and tidy a bit before we left. Ice maker broken but they bought a bag of ice and that was fine. Well stocked everything. Internet sketchy and Roku had issues but finally got it to work on the porch. Upstairs was great but that was closest to the modem. Thank you to Mary and Ray.

Spacious older house with a large backyard overlooking Lake Michigan. Located on the main highway (busy during the day) within walking distance to restaurants/shops/nightspots. Good-sized bedrooms.

Contacted owners ahead of stay to ask about early entry. return email indicated we could get in at 1:00 and a bedroom would be ready for children to take a nape, but that didn't happen. Owners didn't remember. The dryer in the garage broke the day we arrived (6/28). there was another small dryer in bathroom, but its time was defective and had to keep repeat drying. New dryer in garage was installed late afternoon on the July 3. Ice maker on refrigerator stopped working, reported to owner. Never fixed. Owner comment, the next renter would benefit from our reporting. I had contacted the owner a year in advance to rent there house on Glidden Drive and was told they would reserve, but again when contact their memory didn't hold. When contact it was booked. Two bedrooms are in the garage without air conditioning...so no one slept there. Great place to watch the 4th of July parade and the f ireworks in Bailey's Harbor.

House was right on lake as advertised and we could walk to a lot of places. Lots of history to look at in this home and when it rained or got too cool to sit outside under the top deck we enjoyed the 3 season room facing the lake.
