The property was beautiful. Access to lake was fair. Pros: very peaceful, very spacious. My family booked this location for a Christmas getaway for about 10 people. Cons: 1 TV throughout the whole house. The AC unit went out Christmas day during cooking the family meal. We thought it was just the heat from the kitchen. It proceeded into the day, night, into the next morning of checkout. I messaged the host, she did give suggestions on things we had already done. It was miserably HOT. Highest temp reached 84 degrees in a house of 10 people, in which we had a few guests come over to eat Christmas dinner. By midnight it was 82 degrees, so the night was as miserable as it could get on the 1st flr of the main bedroom where I had to sleep with my kiddo. I ended up finding a floor fan in one of the lower bedrooms to make it through the night. The only complaint I had. I feel that for the extra insurance that was mandatory to pay for accidental damages, there should have been something to prorate in cases that things happen like this. I base my needs primarily on reviews from other guests and didn't see any major issues. Another suggestion I would add, that the code to the property should be emailed the day of. We got to the property around 6pm the evening of check-in and I messaged the host and the response time was rather later. I ended up having to call into support and after almost an hour waiting, I was provided the door access code.
