Ambitie is 1 michelin ster te behalen, maar dat is wellicht iets te hoog gegrepen. Niettemin: geweldig eten, met alle zorg die erbij hoort. Dit is een hotel waarin je aan het eind van een grauwe, verkleumende, morsige dag terugkomt en dan de typisch Schotse sfeer treft: een lobby met banken om in weg te zinken, een open haard die volop brand en dan een dubbele whisky. 'Had a reasonable good stay at the hotel, the staff was really kind and helpful and the food was great. The price however is way too high for the state that this hotel is in. The furniture is old and damaged, the TV is small and the smart functions don't work properly. And last but definitely not least was the noise, we could hear every guest coming past our room, as our room was close to the dining area/bar. It woke us up late at night and early in the morning.'
