Vind je ideale hotel in Apple River

'Idyllische plek en leuk om wat langer te blijven. Galena is zeker de moeite waard. Wij waren op doorreis en konden daardoor niet van alle faciliteiten profiteren. Wel hadden we in mei veel last van de muggen (in het Engels ‘Gnats’).'

'As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...

'Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. '

'We stayed here for our son's UWP graduation. It was clean, comfortable and friendly. Our younger kids enjoyed the pool and we appreciated the clean, comfortable rooms with breakfast on site. All the staff was warm and kind and helpful. Definitely recommend!'
