Cozy and quaint and perfectly nestled in the hustle and bustle of Anna Maria’s Pine Avenue, you’ll fall in love with Shark’s Eye. Just steps away from fabulous shopping and fine dining, you’ll have no problem keeping busy. In fact, with all the fun to be had outside the front door, you may have to force yourself to relax out back poolside. Take time to sip a beverage from the balcony over looking the pool, fantastic landscaping and private dock on the canal. Bike and golf cart rentals are a fun and easy way to travel to and from the beach and around the rest of our lovely little island. If you prefer to walk, you’ll enjoy yourself on the brief jaunt to the white sands and glistening waters of the Gulf Beaches. When you’ve had enough of the sun and breeze, head indoors and enjoy the gorgeous refurbished wood floors, updated kitchen and exquisite décor. Make yourself comfortable on the couch while you enjoy the flat screen television. Don’t forget your wireless devices because Shark’s Eye offers free high speed wi-fi as well. Amazing location and wonderful amenities! Only complaint is that the mini-split unit in the back room doesn’t work great and that room (with one of the beds!) stays VERY warm. Mattresses are also very firm - just an FYI. Otherwise, would definitely rent again. Beach Bums conveniently located across the street for renting an electric cart.

Overall we had a great stay at Sharks Eye in Anna Maria. Pros & Cons below…Pros - Great location…very close to shops, the beach, and restaurants! The backyard is tranquil and private. The house was clean. Sato was quick to respond to and address our one issue. Cons - Beds are extremely firm and one bedroom is a bed in the back porch area with curtains surrounding it. Lacked “nice to haves” typically associated with VRBOs…beach chairs, umbrella, any sort of baby things, Tupperware in kitchen, etc. Next to a parking lot so got a bit noisy at night. Overall we had a great week and would return in the future!

Grad Trip

I took my son down for a few days after his graduation. Sharks eye was the perfect place for us to relax. Perfect location with us being steps away from shops and restaurants but still without the hustle and bustle. We were a short walk to the ocean or the Gulf. The home was equipped with anything you needed to cook and also with swim towels for the pool. He was able to fish from several locations very close to the home. We couldn't have asked for one thing better out of a home.

We've stayed at this location a few times now and it's always our go-to if available. The location is perfect, convenient to everything including beaches on both sides of the island within walking distance. The property itself is has the perfect backyard getaway with a great pool privatly situated right on the canal.

Amazing location!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sharks Eye for our family vacation in Anna Maria! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The location was perfect — close to everything we wanted to do, yet still peaceful and quiet for downtime. The hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, making the entire process smooth and easy. Our kids especially loved swimming in the pool and beach proximity. My husband and I loved having coffee on the porch in the mornings. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable family getaway!

Great location and wonderful home

This home was perfect for our stay. It’s in a great location/neighborhood and convenient to walking to great local restaurants and shopping. The home itself if nice inside with a beautiful private backyard and pool. It was nice to come back from the beach at the end of the day and lounge in the pool.

Great little vacation home!

Excellent location on the canal with a wonderful backyard. It felt very private, even though you are close to lots of shopping, a general store, restaurants, an ice cream shop, and Tampa Bay. The ocean is just a short walk and Anna Maria sunsets are breathtaking!

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect location for a quick, relaxing getaway. With multiple dining options within walking instance, we rarely had to drive anywhere. The best breakfast was at Bagels on Pine, literally right across the street—doesn’t get better than that! The Shark’s Eye had several sitting areas where we could hang out together or spread out. The backyard/pool/dock was so serene. Would love to visit again.

Amazing spot! Better than advertised!!

Very cool beachy cottage w fantastic location. House was super cute with everything you need. Back area was cool and perfect for pool time and grilling/hanging w friends. Everything was super clean. Best part was the location! When you walked out your front door, you literally had all the quaint shops within a 5 minute walk to your left and to your right. The pier area and the waterfront restaurant was super close and the beach was an easy walk! Great Place to rent for family of 4 right in the middle of all the good stuff! We will be back and highly recommend to rent!

I could live at Shark's Eye. We knew up front this was an original historic island home and its charm outmet our expectations. Location was amazing and the house was very clean and beautiful! We couldn't decide whether to relax by the pool, on the balcony or beside the canal! Would definitely choose Shark's Eye again. We had one, normal maintenance issue and our home manager came out immediately and handled the problem. He was very friendly and prepared to take care of anything needed to make our stay amazing. So thankful to have stayed at this property and will cherish the memories!

Fantastic location on Anna Maria

This is an older house, but it is clean and in a fantastic location. We had to modify the booking and I can't thank the rental company enough for their flexibility and kindness. The pool was perfect taking a dip to cool off in the evening. And everyone loved walking to the ice cream shop across the street. This is walking distance to both a great beach and the Anna Maria Pier. Not to mention many great places to eat. If you're looking for luxury....this may not be the house for you, BUT if you want a comfortable home to relax in between going to the beach and watching sunsets then this is it!

Shark’s Eye Stay

This rental was beautiful and exactly as described on the listing! The location was perfect in order to enjoy the island of Anna Maria! You’ve got coffee, ice cream, bait/tackle shop, and a general store directly across the street. The beach was about a 5-10 minute walk away, or about 1-2 minutes on a golf cart! My only suggestion would be to trim the trees around the back deck in order to allow for better fishing! Aside from that, beautiful home! Would definitely stay again!

One of the best places I’ve stayed on vacation

Shark’s Eye was perfect. It was the cutest little cottage with so much charm. The beds were so comfortable and every detail was taken care of- dishes, beach towels, comfy outdoor seats, pool floats. The backyard was so tranquil with the lush landscaping, fabulous pool and a little dock with seats on the canal. My daughter and I did not want to leave!!

Perfect Location!

This is our 4th time on Anna Maria and 1st time at this location. There are benefits to all corners of the island and honestly this is the most central in order to “take it all in”. Very short walk to the pier, restaurants, and shopping. We would walk Pine street and when we got hot/ tired we just jumped right in the pool or enjoyed the private shaded dock. House amenities were enough to be comfortable inside and adequate enough to enjoy. Only downside was our beach umbrella was unusable and not equipped like we have had at other houses, but it honestly was not our focus and didn’t impact our beach time. Thank you so much!

Fairytale Beach Cottage

This property is beautiful, convinient and is full of amenities! Likes Amazing Beach house Location- Not only are you minutes from the beach but you are literally located across from a few cute shops including an Ice Cream Store, rental location, mini grocery store and the stop to the Free Trolly. There are a few different restaurants within minutes. The House- is stocked with everything you need. We only needed to purchase extra toilet paper. The rustic/antique beach look creates a perfect vacation vibe. The appliances are all great including a washer/dryer that was easy to use and very helpful. The pool was clean, plenty sunny and fun. Only wish it was a bit cooler. The dock was so fun as we were able to watch different types of birds and fish jumping in the back canal. There were also tiny crabs to look for. The house comes with a BBQ , Pool Floats, pool towels, Beach Umbrellas, beach chairs and an outside shower which is perfect when you get back from the beach to remove the sand. The temperature in the home was great and so are the room sizes. Our only suggestion was having softer beds as they were very firm. Don't forget to sign the guest book and read all the entries from prior guests! Dislikes Pool too warm Beds too hard

So much potential, but falls way short!

This property has a great amount of potential, but due to the lack of upkeep falls way way short. The beds were by far the worst mattresses we have ever slept on. We actually had to put towels beneath the sheets for comfort. The shower has more mold than I have ever seen. The fridge barely worked and took 24 hours to cool anything down. The table near the pool was broken along with umbrella. There was a huge pile of “ rubble” consisting of window screens, chairs, floats, and trash beside the house next too the pool. The pool deck was made of partial wood and was extremely warped causing issues with walking barefoot safely. There was moisture issues and Damp Rid pods all over the house. The washer/dryer was absolutely filthy as well. This house and location has much potential but I would never recommend staying there until a complete renovation is complete. Be aware of the Shark Eye!

The Perfect Place to Relax

This place was just perfect for our week-long get away. The house was clean and quite a bit roomier than it appeared in the pictures. The location couldnt have been better, with everything in walking distance and the general store right across the street. The back yard was our own private oasis with the perfect private heated pool to float around in, right on the canal where you can watch all the bird wildlife, and a second story porch to relax on and see the sun go down. It really couldn't have been better.
