6/10 – Redelijk

This hotel is in a dingy and noisy block. It is a long walk from the Metro and I would not recommend walking into the City. If you do not speak any Turkish beyond the polite phrases of Hello, and Please and Thank you, you will struggle in Ankara generally. The breakfasts were good. The WiFi non-existent. It may have worked in “public” areas but , as a single female, I was not game to hang about in any of the local “public” areas, Reception Staff were helpful in assisting with my luggage and getting me a taxi. The traffic noise was unpleasant when I opened the window in the room and the room was smelly and dank with the window closed. The toilet plumbing had a serious leak. And there was no remote control provided for the Airconditioner. It seemed well patronised by male guests though.
