Howling Elk Lodge is the perfect get-a-way from the city life and set in the ideal location; walking distance (2 blocks) to Monte Verde Lake, a half block to the head of Lady Slipper hiking trail, and only a 9-min drive (3.5 miles) to the Bike Park area. As you enter through the front door, the mountain vibe will embrace you. The open floor plan is perfect for the whole gang to hang out. The kitchen, dining, and family rooms all flow together. The family room has two comfy leather sofas and a glider armchair. Get out the popcorn and relax by the wood-burning stove and watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV. Or enjoy quiet time and the wildlife views from the large picture windows. Let your inner chef take charge in the well-laid-out kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is room for two to eat at the breakfast bar and six more at the dining table. The cozy cabin sleeps 10 guests comfortably. There are two full bathrooms and two bedrooms on the main floor, along with two additional separate sleeping areas in the loft. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, DVD player, and a large walk-in closet. The updated en-suite master bathroom has a single vanity with a granite countertop and a tiled bathtub/shower combo. Down the hall is the second bedroom, equipped with a queen-sized bed. The second full bathroom is across the hallway from the second bedroom and features an updated granite countertop vanity and tile in the bathtub/shower combo. The comfortable living room provides a welcoming space to relax and gather. Upstairs is the loft, which is separated into two areas. The back area has its own flat-screen TV, a queen-sized bed plus a double-sofa sleeper for additional sleeping accommodations, and access to its own balcony. The front area is open to the lower living area and features a foosball, a mini pool table, a game table, and a queen-sized. This home also has a full-size washer/dryer and free Wi-Fi, so everyone can stay connected throughout their stay.

INSURANCE: Most reservations come with accidental damage insurance, should you have an accident in the home. The Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 OR $1,000,000 coverage for property damage and bodily injury depending on the property.
SAFETY & SECURITY: For the security and safety of our property and guests, please note that we have an active exterior security camera facing the front door and is located on a tree in the driveway. This camera monitors the exterior perimeter only. There are absolutely no cameras inside the home or in any private spaces.

ANGEL FIRE COUNTRY CLUB: Open to the public. A fitness center and indoor heated pool are available for a small fee. Fine dining and full bar at Elements.
GOLF COURSES: Angel Fire Resort Golf Course (2.5 miles), Valley Escondido Golf Course (12.9 miles).
DAY TRIPS: Taos and Taos Pueblo Village (24.9 miles), Taos Ski Valley (43.7 miles), Rio Grande Gorge Bridge (36.6 miles), and Santa Fe (92.6 miles).

All our properties are maintained by professional snow-plowmen; we make every effort to ensure the property is accessible upon arrival. However, please be prepared for extreme weather conditions. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended. Resort Properties of Angel Fire cannot be responsible for guests' inability to reach the booked property due to the lack of a 4WD/AWD vehicle.
