Booked here at the last minute for a short-notice trip, and made my choice largely based on availability, but I appear to have been very lucky to have chosen this gem of a place. Absolutely lovely hotel set in a really nice traditional building with more modern annexes at the back (but still in keeping with the original older building), very clean and comfortable rooms (including air conditioning), friendly and helpful staff, really nice atmosphere, and overall a very pleasant experience to stay there. And exceptional value for money too. I found this place by accident/chance but I would definitely stay here again by choice. A lovely experience, thank you.
Check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable, the bar was great, the breakfast was super tasty and the staff were polite and helpful.
Thank you
Lovely hotel in Amersham old town, very comfy bed, staff accomodating arranged late check out for us. We ate in the bar food was nice. We will definitely return.
Room was comfortable and had additional extras ie. small bottle of wine, coffee machine, savoury snacks and biscuits.
Good selection for breakfast but unfortunately, cooked options were lukewarm/cold.
Overall quite a run down hotel. The bathrooms are in need of updating. Toilet looked like it hadn't seen any bleach in recent times. Gave our friends a room that they then refused as it stunk of smoke, we checked in 20 minutes later then tried to fob us off with the same room rather than freshen it up. Rooms are very rickety, uneven floors - beds are on a slant and lumpy realised by head was lower than my feet. Breakfast was also very slow, they come across as quite under-staffed and in need of investment
Location is excellent. The room was super cosy and beautifully decorated. The room had absolutely everything you need, including a coffee machine. Breakfast was perfect. Highly recommend.
