Budgethotels in Ambleside

'What a beautiful property finished to a very high standard of decor. Property was spotless, food was excellent and the owner's such lovely friendly people. Secure car parking for the time spent there. Would definitely recommend the Melrose guest house.'

'Good location, friendly helpful staff Great cooked breakfast. Room under the roof a 'ittle warm'

'Food was fantastic and the staff couldn’t be more attentive. First class'

'Goed hotel vlak aan het Windemere meer. Nette kamer, goed ontbijt, beetje te formeel bij diner.'

'Great staff, room was clean, breakfast was good.'

'Room was comfortable especially the bed and plenty of storage close to local shops and buses. Very nice thanks you x'

'Fell View is the most lovely get-away cottage. It is perfect for two people! I love where it is, and despite being in the middle of town, it seemed private, and cosy. I wish we could have stayed longer. I could not recommend this cottage highly enough.'

'Pros - good location. Short walk into town. Room clean, modern & spacious. Self check in with good clear instruction prior to arrival. Cons - Car park full so had to pay for parking on car park next door. No plates at breakfast only cardboard dishes which made it difficult to butter toast as the bread wouldn't fit in the dish. Would definately stay here again though & just maybe arrive earlier to get a parking space.'

'Great base, quiet, homely, close to shops and amazing view. The property was just the riht size for the three of us. Easy parking for small to moderate car.'

'Excellent location. Overall I recommend the accommodation. I major issue: the showers in two of the rooms did not have hot water. When I attempted to contact the owner, via message app, I did not receive any response. We had 3 couples in the house, we ended up all having to use one shower. Note that shower was a handheld shower in a bath tub with no shower curtain. This resulted in water every way. Additionally the dryer stopped working, it took us a while and some googling to determine there...

'Perfect property in a perfect place. Will be back 100%. Thank You 😊'

'We had an excellent stay with an amazing view of lake Windermere. Our two boys had good reviews of the apartment which is unusual. The apartment was very well kept and very comfortable ♥️'

'Lovely quiet location close to the centre of Ambleside'

'Great location and house had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Hosts had thought of everything and we appreciated the bottle of bubbles on arrival!'

'The house was absolutely charming and so cozy and comfortable for our family. We loved that we all had our own space but could still share meals and relax together.'
