It’s a lovely room in a very quiet place. We had a gentle walk to the beach and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

Will be returning
Overall, I would stay here again! The room was well presented and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect. Breakfast was lovely. Positive and friendly staff. Amazing walks and would definitely return. On the down side, a few minor issues; mould on curtains, leaking toilet and slow draining sink. However this has certainly not put us off! Very mild issues.

Super nice cabin with mega comfy bed and great shower. We didn’t know how to check in though as arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t a night porter around but we got there eventually. Overall great stay

Promises more than it delivers
Insanely hot room. No AC had to leave doors open at night to keep cool so room full of flying insects by morning. No way of lighting the outdoor wood burner so called night porter Sam who was very helpful. £30 for our dog seemed excessive. Outdoor area is laid with coarse gravel so need shoes on to sit outside. Had lunch / dinner and breakfast at the Joiners. Expensive and disappointed each visit. Tables were filthy and greasy service was good at dinner but breakfast was about as disjointed as it gets. All in all this place has lots of good ideas and might be great once it falls into place but right now its just a bit of a muddle.

Good, shame about the lack of care
Nice place and setting. Exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of hot water for showers. Food was good from nearby pub. The stay was good but could have been improved if there was better maintenance. Our toilet didn't work properly and had to be pressed again and again to make the water stop flowing out. They provided a torch, which is a lovely touch, but it didn't work. There is a chimenia outside so you can sit out and stay warm while sharing a drink or stargazing, but they forgot to provide a lighter or matches to get it going. Luckily the staff in the pub came to our rescue. There was also missing crockery from the tea/coffee set. We will stay again, but next time we will check the room properly before we settle in.

Hidden gem
Absolutely perfect couple of days away in the Garden Rooms! The room was immaculate, such a quiet and cosy vibe. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and take in the views of the countryside. All staff were friendly and helpful, and the food in the Joiners Arms was incredible! We will be back!

Magical!
We already can’t wait to go back! Our cabin was beautifully decorated with lots of extra little touches to enjoy. Our garden patio was a sun trap, so sitting outside watching the wild life as the sun went down with the fire and hot tub was a dream. The included breakfast at the Joiners Arms was also lovely, only a short scenic walk away. It felt like a magical, relaxing retreat.

Can’t wait for our next stay
Absolutely brilliant stay. Really can’t fault the cabins at all. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely view out to Beadnell Bay. Room was fully equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster as well as lovely toiletries. Breakfast at the Joiners Arms the following morning was great, plenty of choice even for a fussy eater like me. We will be returning soon for another stay.

No dogs in the dining room please .
We enjoyed our stay however a little disappointed. We did except to have our breakfast in the main hall and not the pub down the road. I am a dog lover and have had dogs most of my life . I am a believer that there is a place for dogs and that is not where food is been eaten. A separate room or area SHOULD be provided for people who wish to dine with their animals . Other than that we enjoyed our stay .

A little different to the usual cabins
Our stay was a last minute booking to use up a hotels.com reward, the venue is only about 50 minutes drive from us. As we understood it from the host, we were one of the first to stay, indeed many of the other cabins are still in-build. The cabins are a bit different, with decent room space and good size bathroom. The cabins are located in the grounds of Newton Hall and the very good Joiners Arms is only five mins walk, the food there is very good. I would say these cabins are fine for a one/two night stay, any longer and I would need somewhere a little bigger. Our only issue was it was extremely hot in the room and with only an opening patio door, that we could not leave open as we had a dog with us, we could not get any fresh air to cool the room. We paid an extra £20 to take our dog and the room was provided with a dog bed, bowls and various treats.

Beautiful stay, hot tub was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. Unfortunately when we arrived the thermostat was turned up and the heaters were making the cabin uncomfortably warm. We turned the thermostat down but there are no windows or AC so there is no way of cooling the cabin without keeping the doors wide open, which isn’t ideal

Disappointing to say the least
Very disappointing , lots of problems, things not working, poor workmanship , restricted bed access. Spoke to 3 different people over the weekend & nobody got back in touch to resolve any problems at all . Not worth £200 per night ! No maid service , apart from replacing toilet rolls & leaving 2 cans of water Extremely disappointing stay , I would not recommend this at all

Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor & was covered in grout , that hadn’t been cleaned off
Poorly finished off Some panelling filled , others not
This was the space at the side of the bed to get in to it !
