Location:
Hide away in seclusion at the luxurious Acorn Bend Log Cabin! Conveniently located in a private gated community off Highway 28 N just outside of Bryson City, NC, this cabin is conveniently located just a few sort minutes from the Almond Boat Dock on Fontana Lake and the Finger Lake Day Use Area, a popular public lake access point that is ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and more! The mountain biking mecca of the Eastern United States, Tsali Recreation Center is less than 10 minutes away, and the outdoor adventurous fun of the Nantahala Gorge, including the world famous white water rafting and zip lining, is only a 15 minute trip away. The charming mountain town of Bryson City is about a 25 minutes drive from this cabin where you can enjoy some excellent local shops, restaurants, and breweries or check out the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad train depot located downtown. You can also access the Deep Creek entrance into the GSMNP while in town, that is packed with great hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls, and in the Spring and Summer months, awesome mountain tubing!

Access Road:
Cars and Most All Vehicles- Paved and hard packed gravel sections on a well maintained mountain road, Switchbacks and moderate to steep incline sections possible, no washed out section. The roads to this cabin are not considered 'Motorcycle Friendly'.

Exterior:
The Acorn Bend provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of your daily life while giving you a chance to unwind in it's tranquil forested landscape. The cabin features a gorgeous wrap around deck that offers various luxury amenities for your enjoyment. Take a relaxing soak in the hot tub as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and calming scenic views that surround you. Adjacent to the hot tub is a stunning wood burning stone fireplace that adds an extra level of opulence to your vacation experience. The deck also is equipped with a gas grill with all the grilling utensils you will need provided for you. There are also beautiful wood tables and various seating options perfect for enjoying tasty al fresco dining.

Entry Level:
Inside you will be greeted with a warm and rustic interior that features high vaulted ceilings, natural log beams, and expanded windows displays that welcomes in the natural light and beautiful forested views. The cabin's luxury fixtures and tasteful decor invite you to sit back and savor mountain living at it's finest. A spacious and open floor plan combines the living room and dining areas, while the attached kitchen is a foodies delight featuring all stainless appliances and is well equipped to create culinary masterpieces. The living room is outfitted with a plush leather sofa and chairs surrounding a beautiful stone fireplace and flat screen tv with satellite cable. There are sliding glass doors adjacent to the sofa that not only showcase the tranquil Smoky Mountain views but will also take you directly out onto the deck for easy access to the outdoor entertainment. The master bedroom is located on the entry level just off the gracious living area and features a comfortable king size bed and flat screen tv. The room also has an elegantly appointed en suite bath that boasts a large walk in shower for two.

Lower Level:
Rack em' up! Downstairs is where you will find the spacious Game Room that features a full size Billiards Table for endless amusement. There is another gas log fireplace in the room, as well as a sleeper sofa perfect for additional sleeping capabilities. There is also a second full bath with yet another walk in shower on the lower level. The game room provides another large screen television with Direct TV ensuring you never miss the game or your favorite show while enjoying your vacation. You can access the lower level deck from the game room that is furnished with wooden chairs and a relaxing porch swing.
