(This was a two night stay)Check in was pleasant and smooth. The night before Check out and checkout morning was not. Night before check out our room was entered by a stranger, it was like 11pm - to say we were scared out our sleep is an understatement. The next morning I call to request a late check out (called at about 9:30am). The front desk staff was very sweet and gave us till 12pm! About 1 min later the FD manager - female, name begins with L. She tells me that they’re trying to charge me for the second night because the day before housekeeping checked our room and noticed no one was there so they refunded the second night. Obviously we stayed the entire two nights and made clear we never received housekeeping. We literally had a stranger walk into our room last night. She was like but there is was one in the room, I asked her if she had the right room. we were in 1.2.3, she said it shows we were in 1.0.5 and it was changed. I was clear in that we were NEVER in 1.0.5. Never received a key for it. She began to say that they still have to charge me because of the refund THEY initiated without confirmation from the guest if they indeed checked out. She had an attitude that I refused to pay AGAIN and said it’s unfortunate but she should have contacted the (me). I went out for coffee after this exchange and returning to my room notice they deactivated the keys - I know this tactic, i worked at a hotel. We did it to ppl we needed to come to the FD.
