Superb country house with lots of charm and character, located in a unique, secluded and peaceful location, with magnificent views, of the ocean and the mountains, a short distance from the town center.
She is composed:
A living room, a wood stove, a large kitchen, 1 double bedroom (air-conditioned bedroom) with 1 adjoining bathroom and 1 toilet.
This villa and its swimming pool are nestled in a wooded park where all the essences of trees and shrubs of the ALGARVE flourish.
In his garden rub shoulders with rare roses, agaves and fruit trees.
At 460 m above sea level, the town of Monchique offers the spectacle of the sea, the freshness of crystal-clear rivers running down the rocks, orchards and market garden crops on the terrace.

Geweldige plek

Heel goed, lekker rustig, mooi zwembad, echt in de natuur. Leila heeft binnen 10 minuten opgepikt op de afgesproken plaats. Ronsleiding door het huis met waar nodig was uitleg. We hebben haar 2 keer nodig gehad en stond binnen 5 minuten paraat en heeft de problemen opgelost. Chapeau. Niets anders dan geweldig.

Het voordeel: groot zwembad en mooie tuin. Nadelen: na gebruik van het toilet kwam er een rioolgeur vrij in de badkamer en voor het zwembad. Geen internet bij het zwembad. Parasols geen 4 stuks maar 2 en gaan steeds stuks. Gekkopoep in keuken vanwege gat in het keukendak. De keuken had alleen koud water. Scheef neergezet fornuis dus zelfs een ei bakken was lastig. Om 4 á 5 uur wakker i.v.m. rollende steentjes schuinboven de slaapkamer. Bed is voor kleine mensen: 1,40 cm bij 1,90 cm. Het zwembad was super. De waterpomp en scimmers werkten niet vanwege te lage waterstand in het zwembad. De tuin is prachtig.

Beautiful house in superb location

The house is located in the picturesque environment of Monchique. The views are amazing, the house is charming and well equipped and the garden with a great swimming pool is very relaxing. Communication was excellent. Highly recommended!

A beautiful cottage in lovely gardens

A lovely authentic cottage in pretty gardens. A gem to find a rural property within walking distance of good restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Useful to know... If you arrive after 9pm, all the supermarkets/shops are closed, so get the basics you need or want for the night and first thing in the morning, such as water/coffee/milk before you leave the airport. The pool is a great size with lovely views. The Monchique area is delightful. A lovely holiday.

Un petit paradis à Monchique

Merci à Marie et Pascal pour leur super accueil. Un vrai coin de paradis en pleine nature avec un vue magnifique. Vous êtes à la fois isolés et tout proche du centre de Monchique. Le centre est très mignon avec pleins de bonnes adresses. Monchique est idéalement situé pour rayonner dans les environs. Encore merci !!!!

Kleines Paradies in den Bergen

SchönesHäuschen inmitten eines riesigem Terrassengrundstücks mit alten Olivenbäumen und Korkeichen. Tolle Aussicht, schöner beheizter Pool, Granatäpfel frisch vom Baum… Ausstattung war auch super, alles da bis auf scharfe Messer… tolle Lage, direkt am Ortsrand aber trotzdem in der Natur, sogar Meerblick vom Garten aus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sind etwas traurig dass die Zeit dort vorbei ist.

Perfect for a quiet holiday with choice of local restaurants and lovely walks.

This is such a lovely place. Peaceful and relaxing with a great pool and fabulous mature but well kept garden. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean and larger than the pictures suggest. Several of the local restaurants are just a walk away and the town has a relaxed vibe and is certainly not ‘touristy’. Being able to go for walks from the doorstep into the hills around us was fantastic. Pascal and Eulália were lovely hosts and extremely helpful. Would definitely return here.

Can’t wait to return

Me and my girlfriend stayed here at the end of our portgual break to wind down after being by the busier towns and coast, my only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. The hosts couldn’t be more accommodating, fast responses to any questions I had. The villa is fully equipped with everything you may need. It really is a beautiful villa, very spacious and as for the pool…. big, clean, the views were amazing, we could have easily hung out here for two weeks! We will 100% return and recommend to anyone we know visiting Portugal.

Paradise

We stayed late May24 and found the villa to be fabulous. The pictures don't do the place justice at all. The gardens and surrounding area are stunning. Mature planting with orange and lemon trees. The pool is a great size with stunning view down to Monchique. Weather was in the mid to late 20's but we still opted for the heated pool which was great. A couple of nights the temperature dropped quite quickly so would advise some hoodies etc. The villa is well equipped and spacious for a small family. There are two bedroom areas both with doubles. There is also a pull out bed in the living area. The kitchen is well propotioned and has all the essentials.wifi is ok but patchy by the pool. Outside has several eating areas with a gas bbq. The owner and agent were both welcoming and responsive. There are a suprising amount of restaurants locally with at least 4 in walking distance (age depending). The town is a short drive and has a large supermarket and a limited amount of bars/restaurants and shops.A magical place for a relaxing week. Some constructive critique is that the furnishings and linen could do with being replaced. Also a welcome pack with guide on how things work at the villa would have been welcomed. Mosquitos are prominent so would advise taking or buying solutions. A hire car is essential if you want to see any of the surrounding area. Monchique itself is walkable but wouldn't advise with shopping etc. Overall we couldn't fault it and hope to return in the future.

Alles perfekt

Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt! Haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht und trotzdem hat alles geklappt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und haben wirklich an alles gedacht. Als wir abends ankamen, brannte schon ein Feuer im Ofen und auch für unsere Kleine war alles vorbereitet. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht, lediglich das WLan ist etwas schwach. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, da etwas außerhalb am Berg, aber ein toller Startpunkt für Ausflüge und auch ein sehr leckeres Restaurant ist fußläufig (3 Minuten) erreichbar. Was man mit Kleinkindern vielleicht noch wissen sollte, im Haus selbst gibt es von Raum zu Raum einzelne Stufen. Wir waren wirklich begeistert, sowohl vom Haus als auch von den Gastgebern!

Delightful Month in the Most Lovely Part of the Algarve!

We had the pleasure of staying more than a month at this charming villa! Aside from the very pleasing design, this comfortable and well equipped house (there are actually 3 separate sleeping areas ), we loved having a working fireplace, and a well-fenced garden for our little dog. The garden is gorgeous with large citrus trees (help yourself!), lush flowering plants and plenty of outdoor places to sit. For some the large swimming pool might be the focus ~ it's very inviting ~ unfortunately the weather did not permit us to use it. We definitely appreciated meeting our exceptional hosts Pascal and Marie, and Eulalia (whose help was enormously valuable to us). Rent with confidence ~ you're going to LOVE this place!

A very nice guesthouse near Monchique and very quiet. Also very good for the winter saison (fireplace!) Big garden area with orange trees. Big pool, unfortunatly too cold für us in December. If you want to hide from tourist places at the south coast, that´s a nice compromise in the mountains.

Monchique Villa Oct/Nov

Despite our late arrival (after midnight), we were welcomed by the property manager Eulália, who met us at the local supermarket and shown us the way to the villa and gave us a thorough guide to the property. The villa itself was lovely with everything you need for your stay. The surrounding garden was beautiful with stunning views of the valley below and neighbouring hillsides. I can imagine the private pool being an absolute godsend in the summer months, but could have been a little warmer for our autumn visit (I myself swam in it most days - took a couple of minutes to get used to the cool water - very refreshing all the same). The log burner was great to have for the evening time and there's an unlimited amount of wood available, supplied by the owner. to the location and the terrain, hiring a car an absolute necessity when staying at this villa. Monchique is a five minute journey and the nearby towns + the south and west coastlines are relatively closeby, no longer than an hour's drive. We even drove to and from Lisbon for a day trip, but I'd recommend using the A22 and A2 toll roads rather than the road from Monchique leading in a north easterly direction (very winding- so not good for travel sickness). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying in this villa.
