'This was a great place to stay for a night after arriving from a late flight. Safe parking. Staff was very nice. Breakfast & coffee were delicious. The manager said that Expedia hasn’t been notifying them of Expedia reservations. So our room with a private bath wasn’t available, but we were able to stay in a room w a shared bath. I don’t fault the hotel for this, as they said they asked Expedia to pause all reservations until it was resolved & they are continuing to book. '

'Goed prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Basic en netjes. Super vriendelijke en behulpzaam eigenaren. Pool zag er niet fris uit en hebben we niet gebruik. 6 uur in de ochtend begon de rookalarm te piepen - waarschijnlijk nieuwe batterij nodig (maar er was wel een rookalarm :-) ). Kleine bar waar de medewerkers die toch bij de balie zitten de gasten een drankje kan verkopen zou een win-win zijn. Shuttle naar vliegveld werkte goed.'

'The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again.'

'Overall I’m very pleased. While being centrally downtown, there is easy access to banks, museums, parks and a wide choice of food! The only issues were figuring out where the light switches were, getting the shower to turn on and the traffic noise levels. Regardless it’s a great value and I’m headed back there in a few weeks! ¡Pura Vida!'
