'Don't be surprised by the route to this place. This 600 year old place has all the luxury and comfort you wish for. Of all places we stayed they made us feel more welcome than any of the others. Service and accommodation are impeccable. If this is not enough to convince you then let me tell you about breakfast. All fresh and in an abundance I've never seen before. Custom made breakfast with fresh eggs from their own chickens. Everybody should try it out but I still hope there's a room for us...

'Zeer gezellig hotel, met een restaurant waar ze heerlijk voedsel serveren, en een geweldige whiskybar. Al het personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In het hart van Speyside. Het internet ( zowel datanetwerk als wifi ) zijn er wel zeer zwak, dus moeilijk om met momenten activiteiten of info op te zoeken. '

'After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. '

'Great parking, internet was not working properly during our visit, and not all the 'on tap beers" were available at the time we were ordering. I wouldn't let this put you off though, as I have visited several times over the years, and it is a classy out of town place to spend a relaxing overnight, or weekend stay. The Atholl in Kings Gate Aberdeen, would be an excellent 'in-town' alternative with excellent food/bar at more affordable prices though.'

'Mooie, sfeervolle locatie, wij moesten wel heel ver lopen naar onze kamer, was een nadeel. Mooi grote ruime kamer, fijne inloop douche. Prima Schots ontbijt.'

'Booked a twin and double room. Rooms clean and well appointed with a communal kitchen area for use by guests. Did not use breakfast service as we left in the morning before the hotel staff had arrived. Only small complaint was that the staff were unable to open the connecting door between the 2 rooms which would have made things a lot easier. '
