« It's a nice feeling to be inside a college dorm and inside the Cathedral Close. The location is perfect. Our room was big with a bow window, but the curtains were not black out drapes. Breakfast was good and the parking on site was very convenient. The corridor was a little noisy when other guest talked at night or in the morning, but there were few of them. Overall, a great experience. »

« Stay away if you don't want to bring bed bugs back home. We have bed bugs in our rooms, and tried to move around the hotel, to different rooms on different floors, but the problem remained the same. We spent one night killing bed bugs all night before we gave up and moved out. Hotel has refused to give us any refund afterwards. »

« Good location and staff are very helpful.
But we only found out rooms are literally above the pub and a bit outdated. Name of the hotel also misleading and we thought it was by the water »

« Had a lovely, spacious room with a king size bed and lifesaving portable air con Very nice bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities excellent.
The property is only a 2 minute walk from 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, tea room and the train station. But you hear no noise. There is parking outside the property. »

« Our first impression of this property was absolutely shocking. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property had been neglected for a very long time. The front entrance was dirty, the stairs were filthy, the kitchen was unhygienic, and the toilets were in an appalling condition. Everywhere we looked, there was dirt, grime, and a complete lack of cleanliness.
The room, kitchen, and bathrooms lacked even the most basic amenities. The walls were damp, the shower was broken, the wash...

« We had a very stressful and disappointing experience. We arrived around 12:00 AM and were able to open the main entrance, but the room door would not open despite trying many times. We spent almost an hour trying to access the room and called for help, but there was no support available at all.
As a result, we were left outside late at night and had no choice but to book a hotel at the last minute, which cost us a lot of money. This caused a lot of stress, inconvenience, and extra expense.
