B&B in Texas

'We had a very nice spacious ground floor room with king bed and large bathroom (suite 7) in the Carriage House annex. It had a view of the main building's rear. It is a nice heritage building. Towels and shower were good. Breakfast offered freshly made hot items and home-made jam of good quality. Friendly staff. Parking in the quiet street in front of the hotel. Breakfast time between 9 and 10 am, a bit too late to our liking. The king bed was a bit too sensitive to a partner's movements in bed....

'This is going to be one of those "I wish I could leave 10 stars" reviews - - we needed a place to stay for the solar eclipse, and we chose this one. PERFECT choice. I would stay here again, zero questions asked. Luey and Norris are marvelous! We stayed in the third floor (The Cole) which was beautifully decorated and appointed. The morning breakfasts were terrific, and the hosts were genuinely warm and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to ANY friend or family member....

'There is no other place in Texas I would rather be for a quick getaway than at the Lancaster Manor with Mrs. Connie and Mr. John. The French Room is home away from home, and at this visit, I had the eggs bennie instead of my usual Texas pancakes. YUM! Booking for stay #7 in June for my sister's birthday.'

'This is a beautiful old house. However our room was extremely small and cramped, we booked a balcony room which was shared but the only way to access it was by opening the sash window and stepping out. The bed took up most of the room and was difficult to move around to access the bathroom so easy to bang your legs on which my wife did constantly. We stayed three nights and our room wasn’t serviced at all even though we asked twice. Fresh towels were left outside the room after we complained but...

'A really nice place close to downtown square. Accommodations were superb. Breakfast was great (home cooked and hot) The host (Julie) anlso accommodated our diet needs with choices. WiFi and YouTube TV channel was also good. The host also suggested sites around town and was very friendly. Definitely recommend this B&B. '
