'Beautiful property, quiet, staff was good. Not a lot of parking though, and wish we’d known that the beach would be closed when we booked. Besides that, 5 stars. '

'We loved that this designated historic property is in a historic district - barely half a block from NYState's first senate house! - and maintains a historic "feel" while offering contemporary amenities. Loved the suite style accomodations. The friendly but unobtrusive hosts were always available to help or explain things and told us where to find dining nearby - within easy walking distance, and interesting facts about the town's development. '

'Hotel is in the middle pf multiple attractions, baseball in Cooperstown and Hockey in Utica. We came for the Hockey at the new Nexus center in downtown Utica. Each time We stayed here we had a well kept room with great service. Our room was very spacious and perfectly cleaned. The room rate is far below the rates in Utica and much larger rooms. We had a great experience.'

'The location is excellent and the gardens are divine. Our only problem was the winding staircase to our upper floor room. Would not be a problem for younger people but my husband and i are in our 70s! We would stay again if we could be assured of a lower level room.'

'Excellent family owned historic hotel located in a nice secluded area of Jeffersonville. The family makes you feel at home and have a ton of information about the area. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast is awesome, and I highly recommend the omelette. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area!'

'We had a room in the attic and it fulfilled a childhood dream of mine! I’ve always wanted to stay in a place with a bedroom at the top of the house. The bathroom was beautiful, but the shower needs frosted glass or a new shade. The bed was very comfortable and being able to control the room temperature was a plus. Beautiful property! '
