'Ideal location for visiting Kyoto. Entrance to the most useful subway line is right across the hotel at a 2 minute walk. Rooms are extremely spacious, about the biggest we ever had for this price. Subway prices are very cheap, around €5,- for a day pass. Located next to the international Convention Centre in a very good area. Also lots of shop within a 10 min. walk.'

'Hiro was excellent and very helpful during my stay.'

'We were so impressed by the kindness and flexibility during our stay. They accommodated an early check-in, had all of our luggage from our previous hotel waiting in our room, and even included thoughtful touches (handwritten welcome note). The hospitality was exceptional and made this one of our favorite travel experiences. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!'

'Upea pieni Luxury/boutiquehotelli, jossa koko asunto samassa!

'I loved how authentic the experience felt and looked, curated by such amazing and sweet souls. '

'Quarto maravilhoso, estilo japonês, grande e confortável. A localização deixa um pouco a desejar, meio afastado. O horários do check in a partir das 16hs e principalmente o de check out as 10 hs ,me desagradou.'

'Wonderful experience.'

'Great spot! You're right next to the train station (Keihan Line) which is perfect if you want to do a spontaneous Osaka Day Trip or get closer to the temples! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The area has nearby food options (more local and less touristy).'

'Kleinschalig hotel/appartement met grote kamers en alle voorzieningen. Vriendelijk ontvangst, ontbijt werd op de kamer bezorgd en was erg lekker ( elke dag ietsje anders). Vlakbij metro en de drukke stad op loopafstand. Zeker de moeite waard.'

'Location!'

'Hotel Okura is a beautiful hotel away from the crowded areas of Kyoto. Splurge on a garden room and you'll get a gorgeous view of temples and shrines. Everything is very lovely: staff, amenities, complimentary happy hour, breakfast service, the gym...'

'Hotel: luxurious and great location, spacious and clean rooms, various cleaning room options. Hotel has a shuttle bus to drive guests to a train/subway station. Staff: very helpful, give valuable and usefull information, Restaurant/food: only tried western breakfast. Everyday was the same but had enough options to chose from. The only small complaint i have is the lack of protein options. Overall: great hotel, would definitely recommend it for those visiting Kyoto'

'Staff was extremely accommodating; including when last minute changes were needed or when small problems arose. The food was authentic and quite impressive. All members of the staff maintained a professional, above-and-beyond-friendly demeanor. Their English was excellent (but as always, one should learn some of the local language no matter what) and they remained responsive, courteous, and willing to help with any issue. I wish we had more time to explore the area, but the direct surroundings...

'The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop.'

'It was great!'
