'The hotel overall is very pretty and located about 10 minutes. Golf cart ride from the center. The food was great and the ground is beautiful. One thing to consider is that even though they have a private beach, you would have to book to both guide in advance in order to be able to get to the beach. If you miss the boat ride, you might not get an opportunity to get on the next one until the following day. In my opinion, it would be nice to have the freedom to go whenever you like and come back...

I love that it was just slightly out of town enough to get us away from the noise and and pollution from all the golf course, but close enough that it was just a 5-minute enjoyable ride to get anywhere or there was action.'

'The walls are thin and you can hear everything throughout the night. But everything else was great. Plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly.'

'Mooie locatie aan strand, goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Eenvoudige houten huisjes. Wij hadden de pech dat wij een zeewier aanval hadden. Het stonk er vreselijk en zijn toen verhuisd naar een duur resort waar het strand schoongemaakt werd en het niet stonk.'

'El Ben is a beautiful, well run property. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the staff to the food to the cabanas. All the food is made from scratch - from the bread for morning toast to the fresh squeezed juice. I only gave it a 3 for amenities because that’s somewhat intentional as it’s on the north quiet side of caye caulker. If you want to relax, unplug & lay low it’s perfect. If you want to sign up for outings & adventures off site, you can do that too. '
