'Clean room'

'The room was large and had all the amenities, but we didn't use the kitchen as we only stayed 2 nights. The room was noisy - busy roads and single-pane windows? Around the property, things seemed to be in a state of reconstruction, so walking along the sidewalks, especially at night (poor lighting) was hazardous. We were charged for the room even though I had prepaid, although they did reverse the charge before we left. We found the front desk person we dealt with a bit hard to understand as he...

'Warm welkom, dames doen er alles aan om je een plezierig verblijf te bieden. Prachtig uitzicht uit een aantal kamers. Veel keus tussen kleinere kamers, iets groter en een heel huis met 1 of meerdere slaapkamers. De dieren op de farm: paarden, kippen en schapen lopen lekker te grazen op grote grasvelden. Goed uitgeruste keuken, eigen terras met meubels en bbq buiten en er ligt hout met aanmaakblokken om vuur te maken. '

'Bring your own wash cloths. There are mice outside running on the property so get used to that. Staff was friendly. The cleaning crew will open the door after a soft knock so be prepared. They change sheets mon, wed, friday. I would not stay here again but it may be a place for others to stay. The mall is within walking distance. That's a plus. Decent neighborhood. '

'The rooms are not quite as well maintained, with drainage issues in the shower, and overall appearance not representative of what is advertised. People constantly move around outside the windows, so there's not a whole lot of privacy. The staff however were friendly and helpful, but communication over messages is ignored. '

'Construction noise'

'The unit was very clean and spacious. We were visiting for the marathon so it was great to have our own kitchen. Grocery store was only a 5 min walk away and the shuttle to the race start was only a 2 min walk. Security guards at the entrance to the hotel so safe. You do need to be street smart as soon as you exit the hotel and walking towards the train station area is more prone to cell phone theft and begging. Just be smart. We were able to walk to hop-on-hop-off bus start in 10 mins.'

'I had a pleasant stay. The location was perfect. Very central location in Sea Point. Always felt safe. Some restaurants and convenience stores are nearby. The employees were attentive and helpful. I came to run the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon and it was walking distance to the stadium and start/finish line. I would stay there again. It’s close enough to get to meeting points for various tours.'

'My home whenever I'm in jozi. Love this place. It's safe, good parking. Big rooms, most of the time we book the appartment, really spacious and everything you need. Even a washer and dryer are in the appartment. The rosebank mall is a 5-10 min walk away.'
