'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was our first experience at a place where clothing was optional. The staff made us feel completely at ease. We slept very well at night to the gentle sounds of rain and the small creatures trilling outside. We encourage anyone to try this place.'

'Room I booked had strong mildew smell. Owner solved problem by allowing us to move to upstairs unit. This was so much better. Appreciate the responsiveness. Hot tub is very old and beat up. Time for an upgrade. But sitting there at night with frogs and moonlight was awesome. Lava tube was closed. This was a bummer as it’s why we picked this place. Very close to park entrance. Short drive.'

'The lokahi lodge is a very comfortable stay. It’s like staying in a cabin. Very quiet location right next to volcano national park. The room was clean, spacious, and nice. Good stay for anyone wanting to visit the park'

'Front Staff and restaurant staff were kind and helpful. Plus in terms of the quality of the room it was great, nice secluded with heating amenities , hot bath tub outside surrounded by nature , lush green trees with birds chirping, insects singing. I mean great place to relax , rewind and onward journey . The restaurant food was great with nice ambience- lamb is a recommendation for dinner, Further this place is very near to Kilawea , we could rush to watch episode 52 eruption just in time .'

'The room was amazing. I loved the sounds of the birds and frogs. The garden was beautiful and the property well maintained. Even though they say it’s an old house and you might hear people in other rooms, I did not. I never waited for a bathroom to use either. It was a quiet and peaceful stay just 5 minutes outside the park. It was nice having a full kitchen as well. '

'Beds are so comfortable. Lovely grounds , spa is great with hot tub and sauna that you can reserve for private time. Birds can be noisy but you get used to them and actually look forward to hearing and seeing them around the property. '
