'Attended a wedding 29th of may. The wedding event was excellent. Stayed in a garden room quirky and well maintained, a bit hot though. Now my real upsetting point. The joiners arms, my nephew who was getting married booked a table for 25 people, unfortunately 29 turned up. The host would not accomodate the 4 extra in even allowing of us to eat in the bar, her comment was to go and eat in seahouses. 'This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you'

'First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). 'Great location and views to die for. Parking a bit tight but lovely neighbours who were happy to move cars around. We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area.'

'We had an amazing holiday. The house was really clean and nice. Wooler is a nice place to stay and the location of the house was perfect. Almost next to a supermarket and shops around the corner.'

'Het was heel fijn, er lagen verschillende lekkere dingen klaar als welkomstpakket, leuke inrichting, schoon, het ontbrak ons aan niets. Het huis lag op paar honderd meter van de kliffenkust waarlangs je naar dorp en haven kon lopen, schone zeelucht, veel moois te zien in de buurt, niet dichtbevolkt, de Engelsen zijn vriendelijk en meestal in voor een praatje. Zo ook Ray en Val, de buren die het huis beheren. Kortom: we kunnen het iedereen aanbevelen!'

'Lovely, clean property in a great location. Everything as expected and house nice and warm. Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. Other than this, everything great and would recommend property.'

'Zeer mooi, midden in de natuur zoals je dat in Engeland verwacht, gelegen cottages. Gezellig aangekleed en van alle gemakken voorzien. Bij aankomst bloemen, taart, wijn en wat basis boodschappen. Zo word je niet overal welkom geheten. Cottage is onderdeel van Vindolanda Trust, dus je kan ook gratis naar aantal aanbevelingswaardige musea waarvan er 1 is gelegen op terrein naast het verblijf (opgraving Vindolanda). Top!'

'We hebben een heerlijke week vakantie gehad op deze locatie. Zeer ruime woning met alle voorzieningen aanwezig. We hadden wat problemen met warm water, waardoor meerdere mensen achter elkaar douchen een probleem was. Verder was het zeer goed verzorgd, zeer vriendelijke eigenaar! Tip voor de nederlandse reiziger, neem een reisstekker mee!'

'Lovely studio accommodation, perfect for the two of us and our dog, just what we needed for a 4 night stay, bright and airy and lovely garden for our dog to stretch her legs. Fabulous location to explore the villages near and further away and just a 15 minute walk to Warkworth beach. There were so many places to eat but our favourites were The Fish Shack and Spurelli's ice cream parlour in Amble, The Landing cafe in Beadnell, and the Masons Arms in Warkworth was good for pub food and...

'The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

'Host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and provided lots of useful information. It was next to another shepheard’s but you still had plenty of privacy. The garden area was spacious and the hot tub was amazing! The hut itself was very cosy and toasty when the log burner was on. The bed was comfortable. The shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen area had everything you needed. Sleeping under the stars was amazing and we had great views both nights! You are about an hours walk away to...

'Everything you could possibly need was there the best we have stopped in and we have stayed in a lot in Northumberland the area much cleaner than the lakes where we come from'

'Het huisje is prima en voorzien in alles. De sofa in de serre is niet optimaal, maar voor een paar nachten goed te doen. Als je een hond meeneemt dan is het lastig. De buurman heeft een vogelopvang en kwam direct aangeven dat de hond nergens in de tuin los mag. En vergeet het algemene hek niet. Anders komt de beste man het direct vertellen. Dus zonder hond, een prima huisje.'
