'Brilliant hotel, and so dog friendly. Staff were lovely, and the evening meal and breakfast were perfect. The room we had was ideal for two and our dog. Location is very handy, as only a short 10-15 min walk to the beach. We were well looked after, as was our dog.'

'Stayed for one night, the bar area was really busy when I arrived at around 1845hrs. Booking in was straightforward and the room was comfortable with an en-suite. The locals in the bar were very welcoming and friendly. I had a full breakfast, which was excellent, the staff were also very friendly. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, the location is an excellent base for touring the area, and the price of rooms are good value. '

'It was a very nice place to stay, excellent food, lively bar and clean and comfortable room. There was no welcome gift as promised by Hotels.com and there was a bit of a mix up in that although I had already paid the hotel insisted I pay again, the £300 was refunded during my stay as it was the hotels mistake.'

'Pub was great, food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room, Senna Cove was very comfortable, shower fantastic and bed really comfy. The photo on the website is possibly a wee bit out of date. Pub really welcomes dogs, ours was very well catered for and loved his sausages for breakfast. Pub would benefit from having a bin for used poo bags. There are none around. Overall a great experience and we would definitely return '

'Great stopover hotel outside of Alnwick, just off the A1. The rooms are very generous in size with comfortable beds. Staff were helpful with regards to breakfast as there was a large group staying as well.'
