'Chalet #9 is a humble home with a direct path to beach (7 minute walk) and just a few blocks away from Sharky’s. The kitchen is small and there is no dishwasher, I share that in case you have a big intention to cook a lot, be prepared to hand wash (no problem for us). This is more built for 2 people, anymore would feel overwhelming. 1 parking spot right outside the door. The text updates were great with door codes for check in as well as the check out process. 'We came for a Change of Command at NAS Whidbey Island and the location was perfectly located between the base and our other events. Being near Deception Pass, we took advantage of going into the park, early morning you could see deer. Both in the park and in the yard. 'Our stay at the Rock House was full of relaxation and taking in the beauty of the architecture, details, and exploring the area. Walking distance to so many nice stops in metaline falls, including the cutter theater. The theater building houses a library that was a great place to bring our children and learn more about the first owner of the home.'

'This home is fantastic. Peaceful, quiet, close to hiking trails and immaculately clean. The kitchen has all the needed amenities and everything is in excellent condition. 'We wanted some relaxing lake time with the family and that’s what we got!! Kayaking on the lake and relaxing on the back porch. Be aware fishing on the lake is closed from October to the end of April. We did not know there are lakes in this county that have this rule.'

'We enjoyed our weekend and first trip to Ocean Shores. On the map it looks like this is an oceanfront property but it is not and that was disappointing. A couple of extra space heaters will also help in the winter months'
