'This was our second visit and was just as relaxing as our first time there. The house is very well appointed. The views of Lake Superior are spectacular and being able to hear the water on the shore all night long makes for excellent sleeping. We've visited Duluth many times and Pumphouse has become our favorite place to stay. We look forward to our next visit.'

'Such a quiet spot. Far enough away from everyone but close enough to get something from town if you need. Only real complaint is that the bed is very very firm. Even though that is a matter of preference, I've stayed alot of places and never had a bed that firm. That is the only reason i cant give 5 stars.'

'We loved the cottage and will be back again. We loved how everything in town is in walking distance, and there are so many places to see angst things to do within 30 minutes. We were in town for a high School bass tournament. There is plenty of room for a boat and trailer, and external outlets on the garage to charge overnight.'

'I received a message with check in instructions in advance and a phone number if i had any problems. The property was clean and welcoming. It was quiet at night for sleeping despite being on the Main Street through town. The bathroom has been recently remodeled and is nice. I would stay here again. It’s small and cozy, but clean and comfortable. '

'We had the opportunity to stay in this home while visiting our son, a student at UMD, over President's Day weekend. The home was had plenty of room for all of us to spread out and get time to ourselves when needed and space to gather together to hang out and eat. 'We were attending a wedding in the area so we’re looking for a VRBO for us and several family members to stay. This is a gem of a place for families to enjoy- inside and out! We loved sitting on the back patio watching the sunset, as well as hanging out on the large sectional in the living room enjoying the view. Would be great for a longer stay- I just wish we had more than a weekend wedding planned. Joe and Nancy are great hosts.'

'My husband and I along with our 2 young adult daughters spent Memorial Day weekend at the Polished Pebble Cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the photos are true to the physical attributes of the rental. All of the bedrooms are on the second level. There was a very, very sufficient number of towels provided in each of the bedrooms for individuals to use. There was also small sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, and lotion available in the bathrooms. The kitchen dishes, glasses,...
