'I stayed for 1 night. The view is pretty unbeatable and worth any price. I understand that the area usually remains cool, however a fan would be appreciated on the rooms, as well as a mini fridge if possible. The pupusas and breakfast were ok for local standards, and would be certainly enjoyed by foreigners. If you are driving, you will have to pay a small entrance fee to Cerro Verde, and as this allows you to walk around the park, you will not regret it! Hotel and restaurant staff were great...

'The best hotel stay I have ever had! It's hard to know where to begin The drive up to the property is a bit sketchy due to the unpaved road with lots of potholes. I drove a sedan and just had to take my time driving slowly and made it safely. The views of the lake are breathtaking from sun up to sundown. The property is sleek, clean, modern and comfortable. My room was quaint and had everything I needed. They even had hot water which is apparently uncommon for the area. I only stayed 1 day...

'I have to start by saying this hotel is stunning. The decor, the rooms, the views of the mountains. The extremely friendly staff. This was our favorite hotel out of all the hotels we stay at. This hotel was just beautiful. I highly recommended this hotel. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Me and my wife will be definitely be staying at Casa 1800 again!!! 'Overall our stay was very good, the hotel is centrally located, the restaurant was very good and the staff exceptional. The rooms are a little dated, they can use a microwave and a mini refrigerator. All in all is was a pleasant stay and if we had to the area again we would stay here.'
