'Sehr schönes großes Zimmer, untypisch für Japan. Haben uns dort sehr Wohlgefühl. Perfekte Lage in Gion. Alles Fußläufig erreichbar. Wir wurden wieder kommen.'

'Great hotel in a great location. Was a great hotel to reset in the middle of our Japan trip. Especially appreciated the laundry and rooftop terrace.'

'A very pleasant boutique hotel experience. Beautiful traditional Japanese guest rooms.'

'Simplemente genial.

'Our stay at Imperial Hotel Kyoto was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding— attentive and professional, with every detail taken care of. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the rooftop. It was such a wonderful space to relax, take in the views and enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. It was a nice touch to our visit. Overall, Imperial Hotel Kyoto was fantastic. From the beautiful surroundings and excellent service to the...

'Great way to do Kyoto with your own place, all beautifully presented and leaves you wanting for nothing, especially handy to have your own washer and dryer if you are in the middle of your trip. Easy check in and quiet location'

'The staff were very helpful and attentive. When we arrived after the scheduled check-in time, we were greeted kindly and the staff member took additional steps to make sure our stay was comfortable. The hotel location is perfect. Everything from transportation, dining, shopping and nightlife is within walking distance.'

'Exceptional host and fantastic location.'

'We loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we visited Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff, amenities available to us were really useful and our room was perfect for what we needed. We also loved the convenient location to local temples, shopping, restaurants and multiple local train stations which made getting around very easy even with our baby. Very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone.'

'The Aoi Hotel is located centrally to great restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and beautiful views. I was pleasantly surprised to be far enough from the main hustle and bustle to have peace and quiet, but close enough to walk to enjoy Kyoto. The staff is helpful and friendly, just a chat away using their cool interactive pad accessible in the room. Our room had a washer/dryer and they provided detergent, which helped us get reset for our time in Kyoto. Did I mention it’s spacious! We had...

'Words can’t explain how beautiful this hotel is and in the perfect location! The hotel is absolutely amazing and the views are unmatched. I’ve stayed at many great hotels but nothing compares to this one! Breakfast is fantastic and staff is so incredibly kind! Worth staying here when you come to Kyoto!!! Amazing!!!'

'We were immediately greeted by the warm and smiling staff of this sweet hotel right in the historic Gion district. We loved our large room and the heated floors in our bathroom. We had breakfast each morning that was delicious and ate dinner on our last night there which was out of this world!!! I’m so happy we stayed here.'

'Amazing room, great location and friendly and helpful staff'

'Incredibly convenient location; lovely, simple and spacious clean room with comfortable beds and good pillows (harder to find in Japan than you might think!). Best shower ever (rain head). Room was surprisingly quiet considering the location. We really loved this accomodation. DO NOT MISS eating at Kyoto Gyoza enen Gion honten which is diagonally opposite for the most delicious gyoza ever (prepare to wait unless you arrive on opening).'
