« If you have trouble with stairs don't stay here. Lovely place but the drive to the house is difficult. And then the stairs up to your room, oh my. I had to leave after one night as I just couldn't face them daily. And having to drive the narrow, twisting road at dusk was frightening. It was a great room and the quiet was outstanding. Host was a lovely lady. Just I'm too old for all the climbing. »

« I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. « Overall we had a great stay. But I want to clear up a few issues. There is room for two cars in the driveway because it’s a long driveway, one car goes in first and one car parks behind it. The next issue is that there are only one and 1/2 bathrooms. There’s a 1/2 bath on the main floor and one full bath (no bathtub) on the lower floor.
