'Mike was a great host and gave us easy ideas about entertaining kids. Also directions to find food and other services nearby. The place is like a dormitory, no frills, but everything you need for preparing you own food and getting a good nights rest. It’s an older lodge but everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained. I’d recommend it to friends.'

'I enjoyed my stay here. The place is one of a kind and each room is unique. I was reluctant at first because of the shared bathroom, but I never had issues when I needed to use it. There is also an additional bathroom outside that I didn’t read about or see until my last night. The outdoor hot tub and shower were all placed uniquely in the back of the property amongst nature. 'We stayed in the ohia room which had lovely high ceilings and a view of the gardens, also closest to the hot tub. The towel warmer was perfect for the damp climate. Staff was very friendly and having the restaurant onsite was a bonus. (We eat there even when we aren't staying there)'
