'Great mood, definitely a unique experience with their inhouse bookstore and evening shortfilm presentations. A trendy stay in a traditional city. Great contrast. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side (no closet, no safe, 2 spaces under bed to stow luggage) but comfortable.'

'My group of four all enjoyed our stay here and would book another stay if we return. It is close to the train station and the accessible to the rest of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but sufficient. Breakfast was delicious and served hot. There are Japanese baths (one for men, one for women), and that’s a special amenity. And there are bikes to borrow. And the aesthetic was peaceful.'

'A discretely tucked away little hotel close to Kyoto station, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and comfortable the room was. The bathroom had an amazing view on a small enclosed garden and gave very relaxing atmosphere. With the vast amount of food places most Japanese cities offer it wasn't a problem that there was no restaurant attached but optional breakfast service would be a huge plus to an already great stay!'

'This was a unique property to stay at for our Japan trip. The property was beautiful and was definitely an experience I recommend. Staff was so helpful when first arriving. They try their best to explain things, especially with a language barrier for myself. The hospitality was exceptional. Would recommend anyone to stay here. A little far of a walk from the main station with luggage so maybe a take a taxi. And have them take you to the check-in area instead of the property itself.'

'Hotel is precisely like on picture, clean, neat, modern and very polite staff. The breakfast is kaseki incl. a western buffet. The hotspring is good temperature and also clean and modern. It was really nice staying at Hatoya Zuihokaku, I would want to go there again for next time.'
