'In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean). 'We booked this location due to its proximity to the various snorkel experience offices (e.g., Sea Quest). Being able to walk to the dock (5~10 min) was great given lack of parking near the dock right before Manta ray night snorkel experience. Being able to walk back to the hotel after being in the water was great as well. Hotel itself had amazing kids pool and separate adult pool. Overall, I will stay here again if I come back to Kona. 'We had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and responsive with recommendations for the island. Location was fantastic near a snorkelling beach. We stayed in the Surfer Room which had a separate bathroom to go through the outside, it wasn’t bad but something to keep in mind. Overall a great stay! A reminder there is no AC.'

'Restaurants and location were great. Had to wait in a long line when my keycards were not working. Extended checkout time was not possible despite being a Hilton Gold member. Room was cleaned only once in three nights.'
