'This was our first time in Costa Rica. The location of the condo was perfect for being able to walk everywhere. The beach was very close. The condo pool was easy to get to and fun with a swim up pool bar. There was plenty of room to spread out, have fun dinners or relax in your room. The balconies were great to experience the sunrises and watch the sun go down over the ocean. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.'

'Roger and his wife Pat were amazing hosts. They were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. Their house is located right on the beach and just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo (but still within walking distance). I highly recommend staying here!!'

'There were small things like the stove being broken and no water on the last day for a period but overall a great stay. A little grungy and can use some updating. Would be nice if they provided pool floaties or something similar. But still a great time!'

'Bert was very helpful with checkin instructions and recommendations of places to check out. I was solo and felt very safe. Beautiful pool on location, steps from the beach and a 5ish minute Uber ride into downtown, can’t beat it!'

'Everything was perfect, the host was responsive. They arranged our transportation. It was close enough to town but far enough away. We wish we could of stayed longer. It was really one of the most hassle free vacations I have had. It was so close to the beach with easy access. 10 stars if I could'

'The location of the complex was ideal, far enough away to not hear the noise of the town but close enough to walk to town and the beach. Vacasa was responsive when our refrigerator/freezer went out. The condo unit is older and the linens are old. Definitely need new bed linens. Supplies were very minimal. We met the owners and other neighbors and enjoyed our interactions with them. Nice people! In general, the condo is fine, just lower your expectations a bit. '

'My husband and I spent a week here. This is our second time staying in Matapalo 502. The condo is spacious with everything you need. The pool has to be one of the nicest pools I’ve ever experienced. Everything you need is within walking distance. The Sol Bakery has the best banana cake I’ve ever had.'

'We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from our patio and balcony. We were greeted by a family of monkeys in the tree above our patio they day we checked in which was very cool. Condo is well located for visiting several of the beautiful beaches nearby, It was stocked with pretty much everything we needed. A couple items listed in amenities (hair dryer & iron) were not in the condo when we arrived but we reported it to the host who quickly responded and brought us those items.'

'This property was absolutely amazing. Location cannot be any better in Tamarindo. The pool area was spectacular with easy access to beach. Watching the sunsets from our outdoor living space was so peaceful. Highly recommend. We will definitely repeat in the near future.'

'It is a basic condo with room for family, quiet location on outskirt of the main streets. Bring your own items for kitchen, no coffee maker or toaster. We didn't feel comfortable walking to beach from this distance but you could walk it. We enjoyed ourselves.'

'We didn't have a good experience. Arrived and the power didn't work. Had to find the breaker box and flip power on. Towels were mildewy, living room had a musty smell. Beds were not comfortable. Guards closed the gate on my rental car as I was talking with them -- scraped the car door. We actually left after 2 nights to move to a different place we found online. We've asked for our money back on the nights we didn't stay there. Waiting to hear back.'

'Overall unit was clean, good size and AC worked well. Location was great. A short walk away from the tourist activity and the beach. There was a generator or something outside of the second bedroom which was very noisy day and night. That was an issue. Safe was not usable. It would have been nice to have the use of some beach chairs or toys. Many other units rented in other countries had a few toys to use.'

'We were looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable place close to the beach for our family to stay for two nights on the end of a week-long wedding trip and this is just what we got! The pictures are exactly what the place looks like. There is a view to the ocean from the balcony and the condo is directly on the main street in Tamarindo. We didn’t need to rent a car, we just walked up and down the streets filled with shops and restaurants and endless beach views/access. The only downside to...

'We loved the fact that we had plenty of space. We were a party of 4 and all had our own rooms (well, my husband and I shared) and bathrooms which was AMAZING. The smoke detector was beeping all the first night so we called the manager and they sent someone over that took care of it but not the way we would have expected. He took the battery out and said he would have to get another one later. I think that batteries for something like that should be on hand and being without a smoke detector in...

'This lovely condo has so many wonderful features: beach front, gated community, beautiful grounds, friendly cleaning and maintenance crew, pool, well equipped bath and kitchen, all in the quiet neighborhood of Langosta. This property is within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and of course the beach! While the beachfront immediately in front of the unit is rocky, a very short walk down the beach opens up a surprisingly different beach experience, with waves large enough to surf...

'If you are looking for a trip to stay at the beach to surf or swim, this is a good place. It is nice, safe, secure, has most all of the basic necessities and my hosts were kind and helpful when I had questions or needed anything. It was close to a busy street and restaurants so there was a lot of noise at times. It was right on the main road yet near the end of it so you can walk to get to all the shops and restuarants.'
