'I have never have stayed right on the beach. With this vrbo, we did. Omar, the caretaker, was awesome. If we had any concerns, he was there to help us. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. It was also a nice touch to have a mini-tent set up to keep us in the shade. This came in handy with Costa Rican hot sun. Would definitely return.'

'This was our first time in Costa Rica. The location of the condo was perfect for being able to walk everywhere. The beach was very close. The condo pool was easy to get to and fun with a swim up pool bar. There was plenty of room to spread out, have fun dinners or relax in your room. The balconies were great to experience the sunrises and watch the sun go down over the ocean. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.'

'There were small things like the stove being broken and no water on the last day for a period but overall a great stay. A little grungy and can use some updating. Would be nice if they provided pool floaties or something similar. But still a great time!'

'Bert was very helpful with checkin instructions and recommendations of places to check out. I was solo and felt very safe. Beautiful pool on location, steps from the beach and a 5ish minute Uber ride into downtown, can’t beat it!'

'Everything was perfect, the host was responsive. They arranged our transportation. It was close enough to town but far enough away. We wish we could of stayed longer. It was really one of the most hassle free vacations I have had. It was so close to the beach with easy access. 10 stars if I could'

'I enjoyed my stay here. A short ways from town, a quiet location and clean accommodations. I believe that most all listings in the travel apps need much improvement on ease of actual property locations. Pictures of key locks and location of actual unit need to be posted more clearly. Possibly an information letter to greet guests with community information. Contact information, etc. Overall, this unit was very nice!'

'Centrally located property. The beach is three blocks away. The staff are friendly and helpful. They texted us immediately after our arrival for help us locate the property. There’s security at the gate. It was quiet and peaceful. My only issue was not having running water for 30 mins. '

'The location of the complex was ideal, far enough away to not hear the noise of the town but close enough to walk to town and the beach. Vacasa was responsive when our refrigerator/freezer went out. The condo unit is older and the linens are old. Definitely need new bed linens. Supplies were very minimal. We met the owners and other neighbors and enjoyed our interactions with them. Nice people! In general, the condo is fine, just lower your expectations a bit. '

'My husband and I spent a week here. This is our second time staying in Matapalo 502. The condo is spacious with everything you need. The pool has to be one of the nicest pools I’ve ever experienced. Everything you need is within walking distance. The Sol Bakery has the best banana cake I’ve ever had.'

'Our host Mari and staff are outstanding. They made our stay very comfortable and were so helpful. Mari provided us with a very useful list of shops and restaurants upon arrival. The property was well maintained, private and lush with plants. We felt at home away from home.'

'We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from our patio and balcony. We were greeted by a family of monkeys in the tree above our patio they day we checked in which was very cool. Condo is well located for visiting several of the beautiful beaches nearby, It was stocked with pretty much everything we needed. A couple items listed in amenities (hair dryer & iron) were not in the condo when we arrived but we reported it to the host who quickly responded and brought us those items.'
